I guess you'll be updating your list of top comic book movies then, Jig? :) I'm seeing it Friday evening... :?

I just did so mein freund. ;)

Had to kick one Bruce out & replace him with another Bruce. :laff:

All the major players brought their A-Game to the film. FUCKING LEDGER RIPPED IT!!!
I'd say his Joker is on par with RDJ as Stark fa shizzle'!

What makes TDK a 9 instead of a 9.5 (which I gave to Iron Man) or a 10 is the something already addressed by some of the advance reviews: the editing. In an effort to go for the brass ring, Nolan left a couple of bits in which could have been reworked or outright excised from it.The Hong Kong sidetrip for Bats was unecessary & should've just been cut out or reworked to be localized in Gotham. It really adds nothing to the story & slows down the overall pacing during it's part of the movie. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to see Bruce outside of Gotham, but we saw that in Begins already. I'm still undecided whether the last 15-20 min should've been cut out though. It was Kool & The Gang but thought of from other perspectives, felt like it was either an unfair tease on things to come or added baggage to something that already had blown it's load. Time will tell..
:o Iron Man still owns the Ending(s) To Be Beaten trophy.

I'm sure you will too. :)

P.S. My one other complaint is the same thing a lot of other folks were bitching about in a cafe we went to after the screening: Cillian Murphy's great character was utterly wasted by Chris & Jon Nolan(who also collaborated on The Prestige).Still, the Nolan Bros make a better writing team than Nolan & Goyer(Begins) or the Waschowskis even.

Here's a useless post from me... I have finals in less than a month, but all I can think about at the moment is TDK. :p I'm seeing this baby in about an hour and can't fuckin' wait... that is all!

Or maybe one more thing: TDK has set a new midnight screening record, edging out Revenge of the Sith - that's just from midnight screenings alone, not including the 3am and 6am showings!

/So maybe the post wasn't completely useless. ;)

Agreed. This movie is just flat-out fantastic. I know there are complaints about the running time, but I found myself soaking up every minute. I honestly don't know what they could have cut out without setting up the next movie. At any rate, the new gold standard for superhero movies is here - this is the best of them, and the best movie I've seen since The Departed.

GAH I haven't had a chance to see it yet.

Can anyone give me a spoiler and tell me if you see all of two face's face?
