Re: Fantasy Football 2008
Actually guys, I completely misread what the tie-breaker was for. That type of tie-breaker is for playoff seeding if a team has the exact same record (or actually winning percentage since we're doing ties)
In the playoffs, a tie goes to the team that is the higher seed.

I like it.
The only thing that may still be unresolved or confusing to me is a tie during the playoff matches. Even though it is hard and unlikely to happen, isn't there a setting in ESPN that in the event of a tie, whosever bench scored more wins out? Isn't that somewhat like choosing overtime players in the article mentioned?
AH, just noticed the last paragraph:
TIE-BREAKER FOR PLAYOFF GAMES
The system does not observe your league's Regular Season tiebreaker rule during the playoffs. Rather, in the event that two teams have the same number of points at the conclusion of their playoff game, the system tiebreaker awards the win to the higher seeded team.
NOTE: As with everything in the playoffs, the League Manager has the ultimate say on which teams advance using the "Edit Playoffs" page. Each league may establish their own tiebreaker system (for example "Most Points from QB") with the League Manager advancing the team which wins it. If your league uses its own playoff tiebreakers we highly recommend pre-defining them and posting them prominently on the League Office page.

Re: Fantasy Football 2008
Everything sounds cool to me. Only, maybe the "tough luck" award should be the "Benchwarmer" award and give it to the team who's bench scored the most points. Kinda like a kick in the rear for starting the wrong guys? But only if it looks like a mistake, like your starting QB gets -5 pts, and your bench guy gets 25, or a RB gets a DNP (0) and bench guy gets 3td's.
Or that could just be part of the tough luck award... just benchwarmer sounds funnier. ;)

That award could go to a guy who wasn't even active, instead of a guy like me who checked his roster and played and got RAPED...

Re: Fantasy Football 2008
Hey guys. :p
Congratulations to TT for winning it all. And I'd like to apologize to you, too, for kinda punting the last three weeks of the season.
I know it's no excuse, but I had my internet subscription lapse, and just a few days later, I had to leave on business, and only recently have I been able to get back in touch.
But, I am glad that in my first full year in being involved in fantasy that I got to the championship, though it would have been sweeter had I actually participated in it.
Again, sorry to get back to you guys so late, but at least the NFL Draft is coming up, and I have been letting this idea sit in my mind for the past three months waiting to log back in to roll it off you guys.
I was thinking that since the league is solely for bragging rights at this point, and it is also a keeper league, what say the overall champion of the season receives one extra keeper? So, instead of turning over the entire team that won you the season, you get to keep a good fourth/fifith of the team. Essentially, it is 4 keepers for the winner, just 3 for the rest of us. What do you think? A good/bad idea? Too late/too early in the season for this to be relevant?
