defence wins championships.....the patriots are better than the steelers in my opionion..and they were the team that won the superbowl last yaer..... where do you rank them this year?
and this isn't fantasy football....so giving me your draft board doesn't say a thing about how good the pat's chances are of being successful on the field this season.

The better team won last year, just as they will this year.
The team to watch IMO is the Carolina Panthers. Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith make a devistating combo. But, adding DeAngelo Williams and Keyshawn Johnson is going to be what puts them over the hump. DeShaun Foster can do enough so that Williams can learn as he goes. Johnson will take alot of the double coverage away from Smith and allow Delhomme to spread the ball around to more than 1 WR. The defense is gold, the offense made some leaps via free agency and the draft, and I think the Panthers are the team to beat this year.

With the improved defense I don't think you can overlook th Colts. Losing the Edge will hurt them more than they think, but they have a good rookie that can make people think twice about pass rushing every down. That offense is still one of the best in the NFL. And, you can never count out the defending Super bowl champ Pittsburgh Steelers either.

Steelers don't have it this year I think and the Colts choke in the playoffs. The Pats pretty much own them in the postseason. I don't think a rookie will make anyone think twice about their running game. All defenses have to do is push fast and hard at the line and then he'll do stuffed back. Colts do have an awesome passing game but it won't get them to the Super Bowl

Dominic Rhodes is no Edge, but Joseph Addai is no slouch. Their defense is even better this year than it was last year, so I think the Colts have a real shot. I think this is the year that Reggie Wayne actually steps ahead of Marvin Harrison in terms of production. Do the Steelers have it again... not sure, but they are the defending champs, so I always look at them.
The Patriots don't have the passing game to compliment the running game. I see the Colts as having a solid running game that will open the passing lanes up. Now the question is if Payton can get over the big game hump.

First of all, if what you're replying to is the post right above yours then you don't have to worry about quoting it.
As long as the Pats have Brady they have a passing game. I dont' care if they got their wide recievers right out of high school...as long as Brady is leading them they will have a passing game

Tom Brady is this generations Joe Montana. Without Jerry Rice and John Taylor tothrow to, Montana would have been another Dan Marino. Great QB, but never got over the hump.
Brady is a smart QB. He doesn't force the ball, he doesn't make a whole lot of mistakes, and he gets the ball where it needs to be with good accuracy. But, make no mistakes about it, the Patriots defense isn't what it once was, Corey Dillon isn't who he once was, and the passing game is below average. When your TE, who is not named Tony Gonzalez or Antonio Gates, is looking like your best #2 receiving option, your offense is due to struggle.

I have my moments. Once in a while I break away from my sarcasm to bust out with a fresh take that is well thought out and said even better. It is usually in sports though.
