Yeah. I wish my best friend had been that stand up for me with my now ex. He's got her now and as far as I'm concerned, they deserve each other.

"innocent" flirting is never innocent. They are looking for something. Attention, sex, one the side booty call, love... it is SOMETHING they are not getting from their mate.

Ruff, what are you doing sitting back, watching people make posts and then commenting after everyone..? Good god man...You can do that in the Trolls and whores thread but damn..! Use the shoutbox to chat back and forth, eh..?
Anyway, take for example, me and raum...We have been good friends for a while now...I know his girl and she's cute as hell...But if when raum walked out of the room, she did something flirty, even if she meant nothing by it, it would make me really uncomfortable...
But my friend Badcat gives the impression that this happens all the time...I think that's weird...He says that his friends trust him, but I think that's besides the point...Who needs that pressure..? Why would I leave my girl alone with a guy whom I know she's going to flirt with..? And furthermore, why in the hell would she be my girl if she's insisting on flirting w/other dudes..?

really, you live in a bleak world ruff.
hell, I flirt with the girl who cuts my hair, cause it is easier than sitting in that chair and having someone have a scissor blade that close to my head without me feeling like i might have to take her out!
what am I not getting at home? nothing, it is a way to relax.
(I also feel the need to add my Flirtation is mostly innate charm and a little bit old fashioned. it is not motivated in anything other than letting someone know HOW much I appreciate their beauty.)
ya'll people need to lighten up. As a innately Romantic person, I get in a mood, and I am waxing poetic about a movie I am returning to the blockbuster girl, and that I see her blush or her eyes brighten or maybe JUST maybe get a smile of recognition - that for me is enough. I am not courting her anymore than I am courting the girl who I see at the drugstore everytime I go in. I just like to be surrounded by people who FEEL beautiful, and am known to help women feel that way, when I am in a mood.

You make a good point. There's flirting, then there's FLIRTING. I do the same thing you do, raum; grocery store, video rental, Home Depot, whereever, I chat with the cashiers/workers make friendly comments and all, try and make their day a little less bleak. That's all there is to it. When they respond in a like manner, that's all there is to it, I know they're not looking to hook up with a guy who's 3 times their age.
But when my ex was flirting with the piano player, I know now that there was something deep down going on. Boredom, wanting a little "strange", who knows? But it ended up killing 19 years of marriage.

But DD, do you really consider those friendly comments to employees flirting? I sure don't. I do it also and I just consider it being nice to them. Most of the time they deal with total jackasses all day and I want to give them a break from that. I don't consider that flirting though because it's not like I really want it to go any where. I'm just being nice by it.
QUOTEThat ain't flirting Trash.....thats being a Ho, plain and simple.
Yea, I soon figured that out and I told her off. I told her she was being a total whore and that I wanted nothing to do with her. Then she decided to get mad at me...oh well. I don't care about her at all
