LMAO @ SAM..!
Dude, My light bill is $200 bucks this month...And I'm seriously thinking of investing in a solar power grid...I'd rather pay monthly to own that stuff than to fucking keep throwing money away...I'd have a solar grid and use that as much as possible...Power companies are raping consumers...Electricity is a necessity...They should average that shit out, and then if you go over that p/m you pay the difference...

...I'm sure my light bill would be WAY over $200 if I had electric heat. As it is, it costs between $750 and $1000 a year for oil to heat the house; depends on how much wood I burn...
...and yeah, I agree with you. We're being taken to the cleaners BIG TIME when it comes to paying for electricity. I live about 25 miles away from TMI (Three Mile Island nuclear power plant) so you would think our rates would be cheaper, but HELL NO! So what it equates to is high energy bills AND living in fear of a meltdown. Gee, sounds like a great place to live, eh...?

Yes it does :}.
I've looked into alternatives and the price per KWH is really not any better, mostly worse, even when amortized over lifetime of the alternate source.

Just for comparison, I have a 5/3.5. It was the only one with separate bathrooms for the kids...
