The Clinton News-Record has revealed that former bodybuilder Roland Kickinger will play the T-800 in Warner Bros. Pictures' Terminator Salvation, coming to theaters on May 22, 2009. Kickinger talked about his role in the film, quotes that should be considered spoilers:
This month, however, Kickinger begins filming what is likely the role of his life to date, as his portion of Terminator Salvation begins to take shape.
"There's a very strong scene in the film where John Connor for the first time meets the Terminator, and he doesn't know if he's a good guy or a bad guy," said Kickinger.
"It's Arnold's character in the first Terminator. That's basically my role, but 20 years before, so it establishes how the Terminator [came] about."

This dude has already got Arnie's Terminator spot locked down. I'm still so conflicted about T4, but the good now outweighs the bad i s'pose: Bale/Kickinger Vs McG.

The character of Kate was introduced in Terminator 3 as Kate Brewster, played by Claire Danes. If you remember correctly Brewster was actually the one who sent the last terminator (played by Arnold) back in time to protect John, as Connor was said to have been assassinated on July 4th 2032 by the same T-850. The film begins 14 years before his assassination.
SHIT! I've sworn off Aliens, Predator and Terminator flicks because of the lousy direction I feel all three of the franchises have been taken in. But now that Bryce Dallas Howard (my second favorite actress after Cate Blanchett) is onboard, plus Christian Bale.....DAMN IT! Might have to lift the boycott for this one.

That is awesome huh? Hey you guys watch the TV show too! It's great and the women are gorgeous but the ratings suck! I'm afraid I'm going to lose one of the only shows I look forward to watching. :disappoint:

Linda Hamilton has confirmed what Terminator Salvation director McG first hinted at last month - she'll be back to do a voiceover as Sarah Connor. Hamilton told MTV:
"We are talking"... "I haven't read it yet. I don't know what direction they will go in."
While she awaits the specifics in a script, Hamilton already knows what her role generally would be. "My contribution would be voiceover," she said. "I would probably be very happy to loan my voice depending on what the material is. Wait and see. They're already writing it. We've been negotiating it.

Far as I'm concerned this move will validate Salvation even more. Even if she's only doing a voiceover.
