How good is it that we have someone to talk sports w/us again tt..??!?!!?!?
:: end off topic ::
I think this what you said is what does it for me dark:
"He wasn't forced to name anybody in particular"
According to Rocket, this hit him like a ton of bricks...He didn't know that this was coming...And I see I'm not the only one that finds it strange that even after the report came out, McNamee was still trying to be in Roger's good graces...How come this conversation didn't take place:
Roger, they're coming after me hard with this PED shit, what do I do..?
- Mac, I'm a millionaire, and the most loved pitcher in baseball...Be cool, and I'll make sure you and your family are taken care of...I know what's at stake here, we'll handle it...
Roger is not hurting for money...He could have sent McNamee and his family on a nice little vacation and nobody would have said anything...To me, NONE of it makes sense..! Why would I rat you out for posting SHL shit, when it was me that gave you the pass..? And why if we exchanged messages about it, and I ask you, 'why'd you post that stuff dark?' Wouldn't your first response be 'YOU GAVE ME THE PASS YOU MORON!!!' LoL...
McNamee was a cop...Be hard to believe he'd be rattled by a plea...Something...And I do mean SOMETHING terribly significant is being left out here...
Oh, and tt that stuff about Andy wasn't my words, I was paraphrasing from stuff I heard on ESPN...They just said he was a terrible witness and stumbled through most of his testimony anyway...

Ok I guess we just see this from opposite sides. I do give you guys credit for still believing in him after all this, I hope (even though he became a Yankee TWICE) he is innocent, but I've lost all my faith in him. But I'm calling SHL and ratting us out so expect to hear from her husband.

Re: The Mitchell Report
CDR..!!!! I think abou would kill us both if we snitched... :p
Well, I'm not saying I believe Rocket...Just that I can't really take sides...The majority of people seem to think he's lying, and the only reason they think that way is to say, 'Why would McNamee lie,' and that's what I'm debating...It's just my inclination to wonder why he would tell the truth...Apparently, the only people that knew about this are friends of Clemens...To me, it seems like he was trying to save his own ass, and if we knew what he was saving his ass from, then this story would have started a completely different way...

Re: The Mitchell Report
While I don't necessarily believe Clemens, I definitely don't believe McNamee. That tape closed the coffin on him and the questioning by Congress nailed it shut.
I think that Clemens is stretching the truth in order to try and come across better, which is the same as lying. One really sketchy thing that he did was invite his ex-nanny the weekend before she was scheduled to testify. There may have been a little bribe given or something like that.
Both Clemens and McNamee are wrong - I wish baseball would just move on and start focusing on Spring Training and the upcoming season. The past is the past and hopefully baseball can start working on its image again.

Yea A, it's great to have someone else to talk sports with! The only thing against darklighter is that he is a Red Sux fan!

Re: The Mitchell Report
This may sound crazy but I would like to personally test this stuff and see how it works... Can it really make someone run faster and hit harder.... Possibly so, but it doesn't increase your hand and eye coordination so how can it be so bad? And how can it be cheating if everyone is using it?
No matter how smart a man gets, he will never understand a woman...

Re: The Mitchell Report
It makes you faster and stronger and that's what's needed to hit a baseball. A baseball player has about 3/10 of a second to hit a baseball. If you can see the ball for just a fraction longer, you're gonna be able to be a better hitter. Steroids make it so you can have that extra split second to decide whether or not to hit the ball. It's huge...as a baseball player I know how crucial that extra time is

Plus not everyone is using it. The entire Yankees team is using but not everyone in the League. ;)
