Well of course! I'm from Boston. We're born with a loathing for the Yankees and Lakers.Habib wrote:LoL, Laker hater...It will be an interesting game to watch...

Yeah that was impressive. They may be a better team than I give them credit for...MAY BE! Don't like that trade they made for Pornstache Morrison though.Habib wrote:LoL darklighter1, guess what just happened today...

I still like Lebron better but I do have to give the cough...sputter....wretch team from LA (yeah not the Clippers) credit. They look like the best this year..I really thought Cleveland was going to do it but LA has kicked all the best teams' asses.Kumicho wrote:A sick Kobe vs a well LeBron....

Kobe hurt his finger that night, and look @ those shots he made with LeBron guarding him, I just love his jumpers man...
Kobe is a superstar.

Re: 2008-09 NBA General Discussion Thread
So there is news that the Suns are trying to shop Amare Stoudemire. Do you think they should trade him?
Here are my 2 cents: You don't trade Amare! He's the type of player that you build a team around - not trade just to shake things up. Also, Shaq isn't going to be playing productively for very long, so the Suns need an aggressive player who can play center like Amare. It would be stupid to trade a player of his caliber.
With that said, I would love to see him traded to the Blazers for Travis Outlaw, Nicolas Batum, and Sergio Rodriquez. (Blazers would need a 2nd round draft pick as well). Can you imagine a team of Oden, Amare, and LaMarcus Alderidge in the front court and Brandon Roy and Rudy Fernandez holding the backcourt? Damn....that's a championship caliber team right there.

Indeed tt, that would be a monster lineup...But I think they're trying to now shop Shaq...Which would be smarter IMO...Amare was fine before he got there, I don't think anyone believes differently...
But they'd be nuts to make that trade to the Blazers, which would almost certainly mean that the Blazers would whip their asses every year, so...I don't think that they will make any real moves...
But there's certainly no denying that the Lakers are primed for a run at the championship man...They are playing very well, and to win without Bynum, after he had started to come on like he did, that should convince everyone...The C's were crying about getting calls at home, sorry dl1, but that almost means they're finished...
I might actually watch the All Star game this year as well...

Yes yes we want to get all the Lakers fans overconfident and fat in their feelings of supremecy....then we turn it up a notch in the playoffs and CELTICS SMASH PUNY LAKERS! I think if the Suns do get dismantled then they'll most likely try and send all these guys like Nash and Shaq to contending teams in the East. How's that for master of the obvious trade predictions eh? :?
