Yeah, Jaco...
Now is as good a time as any to start dropping your sources, cause I definitely want to see those statistiscs, no other elaboration on any other statements you made is necessary until I see some of that...As a matter of fact, I think we all want to see that...
@ Disabled
LMFAO @ "Putting my non crippled foot into it." Seems like you made decent points as well, but that was just funny as hell to me..!

Do you remember what Martin Luther King went to jail for..? Hmm...What about Rosa Parks..?
Dude, we are ONE generation away from that stuff...ONE...There are people my age that have die hard racist parents, that are the same police and judges that are in charge today...WTF..? And you missed something:
QUOTEThe pattern of racial bias in these statistics is confirmed by the research of the US Commission on Civil Rights, which found that while African Americans today constitute only 14% of all drug users nationally, they are 35% of all drug arrests, 55% of all drug convictions, and 75% of all prison admissions for drug offenses.

OK, now you're confusing me...
How are you looking at the figures that way..? This is like saying that if there are 100 people in a room that are all doing drugs...14 of them are black...If there are 100 arrests, 35 of those arrests are of blacks..That's not a even distribution homez...No way...
And if 12.5% of the population is black, but 50 percent of teh jail popluation is black, those are more fucked up numbers...Minorities in many regions are targets...
I'm not saying that they shouldn't be punished, but consider this...You can fly in here with a fuckin' TON of that blow, and not get half as bad sentence as someone who is selling crack...Same drug...Different punishment...I'll let you find a few sources on that demographic...
It's no comparison Dude, you may as well let this one go, really...

It's logical to you, that in say...A powerball lottery in which the make up is as follows:
86 of them blue
14 of them red
Somebody blind folds you, and you pull out 1 red ball to every 3 blue...And they say man, that's amazing, and you are then double blind folded, and you do the same thing again..? That's is what those statistics are saying...
I want you to think back as far as you can...And recall to me a big case of racial profiling in which a non minority was mistaken for a criminal and shot by police...Name ONE case Homez...Who is the non minority that caught that Rodney King beatdown..? What about when they kicked Tupac's ass in Oakland for JAYWALKING..?
My car tag reads H N I C...I got a letter in the mail from the damn courthouse, telling me that I needed to change my tag because it was offensive to the people in the neighborhood...That would be cool, except...I got my tag no less than 60 miles from where I live...I don't even live in the damn neighborhood...
Like I said, I'm not making excuses...Do the crime, do the time...But lets not be ignorant of facts...There's no way that without targeting, blacks would make up over 50% of all the inmates in the nation...That's a gross figure, no matter how you slice it...And those aren't repeat offenders, those are people are already there...
They just keep adding more and more...

I don't think that the idea is that they are necessarily less qualified...I think the premise is that they are eqully qualified...But then again, I'm not too sure...But, using the NFL as an example, that's more or less what they do...
But you make good points...Funds being allocated to disenchanted enviroments is a GOOD place to start...
