Nah Raum...its not about you....
I'm STILL hung up on the fact that Aemeth said and still agrees with his statement "People who live in the ghetto are tougher than people who live in the suburbs because they all have had harder lives"
Then when I disagreed with that statement...he called ME ignorant.
I don't think I'll ever be able to let that ignorance go.

@ LG
wow...
that was the worst ive ever had words twisted...actually, thats the worst ive ever seen any words twisted..
i debated not even replying since it was so irrelevant..but i dont want ppl to actually believe the bullshit i just read..so i think ima hafta break this down..
For real....stop acting like you're so fuckin hard because you listen to rap music. I don't give a shit if you listen to tupac....so do I, does that make you tougher than someone who listens to punk rock music? In your opinion, yes.
Ok first of all I said i don't listen to that much Pac. Secondly, I never have stated that listening to rap music makes you hard. I have no idea where those 2 statements came from /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />. I said swimming has taught me to tolerate pain quite well, but nothing claiming to be a hard ass gangsta. Actually, I said the opposite..that I wasn't thug, never claimed to be, and live a relatively easy (from this standpoint) of a life..
We've had this discussion before...when I told you off, and you bring it up again?
Told off, eh?
You're completely 100% wrong in every facet of your statement that "people who live in the ghetto...are tougher than people who live in the suburbs"
I just re-read my post 4 or 5 times trying to figure out where you got that from. I simply claimed that just cuz I don't live in the hood doesn't mean I can't understand and appreciate hip-hop..wtf /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
there are little pussy kids everywhere inthe world...and there are big tough "gangsters" everywhere in the world as well.
Obviously. I have never said anything to go against that. Again, wtf..
SOME people who live in the "ghetto" do live hard lives....but not everyone does.
Once again, duh-level stuff..
Not everyone who lives on this side of town owns a gun...while on the other side of town...they don't even know how to fight.
I don't really understand this, it seems to contradict itself somewhat :-/
Your shitty generalizations about everything....are always wrong.
LMAO, I hope this was meant to be ironic. Way to describe my generalizations with a generalization more broad than any I have ever used..
I bet you'd honestly argee with me....that if you're skin color was darker...you'd be tougher. Right?
Skin color/race has absolutely nothing to do with this, and I have never said anything about black ppl being tougher than white people.
If I lived in Harlem, the same lifestyle...the same upbringing.....if your opinion, I've lived a hard life...and am really tough. Why's that? Because you assiocate Harlem with what you see on TV?
Nooooo, I say the odds are that you have had it a little tougher than somebody raised in Malibu. That's a fact of life man, I don't know why you think I'm so wrong..Look at the crime rate, divorce rate, dropout rate..it almost always tends to be higher in urban areas..
You ever been to a ghetto?
Yea, in Portland
You don't get gangraped and killed for walking to school in the morning. There are good kids...and there are bad kids, like everywhere else. The ratio may be different, but its still not every single one.
I agree 100%.......
But let's stop bullshiting.....you don't mean people who live int he ghettos.....you wanna say "black people"
Actually believe it or not, your completely wrong there. I can see how this was postulated, but my emphasis here is the environment affecting the 'harder' life, not skin color. There tend to be more blacks in ghettos, but that has nothing to do with it.
and I'll be goddamned if I gotta hear more shit about how black people have it soooo tough, and theres never been a single white person in the world who has suffered.
Puttin words into my mouth, bro..I'd be crazy to disagree here, and I never have. I apologize if I somehow came off that way. I'm not some insecure white person who desperately wishes he was black so I could be tough, I would feel horrible if anyone even thought something remotely close to that..
Some white people are poor....some black people are rich.....but the way you like to think of it....every white person wears polo t-shirts and can't fight for shit...because he lives in the suburbs.
Nope.
Except you of course...you live in the suburbs...but you're a downright gangster.
I said I wasn't a gangster at all, read my previous post..wtf..
Don't judge people based on skin color or where they live. I know people who live in the ghetto who are spoiled and rich and snobby and bitchmade....and I know people who live in the suburbs who can't afford cable or airconditioning or new clothes......
Ok, so don't fucking shoot down MY thoughts about hip hop by saying "thanks for that suburban input" or w/e the fuck it was..You just sonned yourself there lol..And again, I never said EVERYONE in the hood was hard, or vice verse with the suburbs
Don't label communities of people because one lives on the southside and one lives on the west side...and then call me ignorant.
....
Your statements are the most ignorant I've ever heard, white or black, suburbs or ghetto.....
From an objective standpoint, I loved this finish with a flourish, relating it to the topic and throwing in a nice punch as well. But comon man, I feel like I'm being manipulated here..

And @ raum..
That is interesting..
I do not know whether to believe you on that, or to think of it as a result of a personal bias /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
But I doubt you would fall victim to the whole West Coast vs. East Coast deal, so Ima buy it..interesting..
I know LA got some hustlas as well, how does Los Angeles compare to Oakland? And if it isn't LA, what's the hustling mecca of Cali?

my time in LA was limited. Oakland was home from Jan97-Jan05.
I skip into NYC a minute now and then, and ain't found a street i won't walk down blindfolded with a twenty dollar bill in my mouth.
but my view is kinda twisted. se i was in Hong Kong, Dubai, all the black market capitals
and i grew up in the dirtiest state there is, LA, desceded from bootleggers and outlaws.

and the comments LG is talking mad about is from the old forum, and you did say something to that effect, in defense of enviroment being important to development.

Your still putting words in my mouth..
In general, living in the hood is a harder lifestyle than living in the suburbs..That's a proven fact, and that is the ONLY claim I have ever made..

Would that be....using book-smarts to determine the streets?
Isn't that foul play and politically incorrect?
