And then you talk like I don't know kids that lit it up in big time leagues and conferences...And got to the NBA and were average at best...Or worse...C'mon man, you must see this...Lawrence Moten from Syracuse was night in, night out, 21 ppg...For a career...Givin' it to dudes just like Rip Hamilton...And couldn't make it in the NBA...Trying to establish Reddick as the real deal cause he in the ACC...Like I don't know who Trajan Langdon is...................ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... You killin' me...

How does that NOT translate into "just because he plays in the ACC doesnt mean he'll be good in the NBA....because there have been other good players that have been good in college...and have not done well in the NBA"

where do you NOT relate this whole topic to the NBA...and how people have been busts?

I'm not using College Football as means to back up what I say about Reddick...Im just pointing out how you seem to switch your opinion on the whole bust/great talent issue just so you can argue with me...its not the same sport...but you're using the same agruement to back up both sides...and that doesnt work......

In fact....until someone actually watches a few games and comes up with someone who is bette than Reddick...then no amount of statistics or opinions will matter......Anyone can come in and say "man...Reddick aint that nice"...but until someone poses a player who is infact better......then all that shit is useless...

Should I just not bother posting after you ?

I'm sick of you breaking down everything I post....then if I try and refute what you say about me....you disregard everything I say...never comment back....and just leave a single word....

You said to find a quote on where you talked about the NBA and busts...and I did......and you just completely ignore that.....I explained why I related the basketball and football....you ignore that... You haven't watched Reddick play this year....but you come in and tell me that he's not nice..... I bring up that fact...and you ignore it

I mean seriously....if you're just gonna tell me everything I say is stupid...then I explain why I say it...and you ignore it all.....whats the point of me ever posting?

Dude, you make shit up...You're impossible to talk to...Case and point:

QUOTE(Lost Ghost)but you come in and tell me that he's not nice"

You see what I mean..? I never said that...IN FACT, I said quite the opposite...

How can I address points when you're just pulling shit outta your ass Homez..? That's what I mean by impossible, shit, you're not making no sense...

I NEVER SAID THAT...

But...You say I did...And then you want me to defend shit that you think I said...And so, when I asked you WTF you're talking about, you go off on a tangent...

Dude, you can't compare two sports where a vast majority of the players come straight out of high school...Damn, there isn't a high school Senior in the WORLD that could survive the NFL...There will never be no Lebron James in football...But yet, you feel so cozy making the parallels...Football is another sport all together than basketball...Trying to compare them, as you often do, isn't going to work...The analogies will ALWAYS be out of bounds...

The logic present in the majority of football debates and talk is not the same as basketball, damn...My little cousin is my height playing the 4 spot in AA hoops right now, and he gets it on...There are a million fucking schools in the US that have a basketball team...Dude, there are a million reasons why you can't cross that line...

I don't know why you post either, if all you do is berate and challenge people to put you on the spot...If you had some valid shit to say, we'd listen...But most of the shit you say is so far outta bounds, nobody wants to touch it...You are flaming and arguing against people that aren't even saying the shit you think we saying...Carrying shit from one thread to the other...Peeps don't want to be bothered with that shit, its like you're not even reading the threads and paying attention..

The you skip over it, and go off into another direction...Here's an idea for you....Complete Thoughts...How about you trying listening and responding sometimes rather than acting like you know all this shit like the back of your hand..?

I say: Reddick isn't athletic
You say: You mean he's not black and dunking over everybody..?

Sigh...

Impossible...

and what do you base you're statement of "reddick isnt athletic" on?

I think you must have assumed that I've never seen the kid play before, or not seem him get down on SC...I just said I haven't started watching ball yet, and haven't seen a game...

Quite simply, JJ is a textbook shooter, and not a scorer...His form and his trigger, both from what I have seen and statistically, aren't any more, but certainly any less than other persons his height and weight...Like I said, Trajan Langdon did the same thing...He is 6'4", 190 lbs...Prollie gonna have to get to an even 2 to play any position in the league, and him not being already athletic...Shit...Just tell me you see JJ checking starting PG's and SG's in the NBA and still scoring 27 ppg...And I'll STFU...

Tim Duncan was a NBA lock...He had intangibles that definitely translated into an NBA game...I don't think JJ is in that class...

And that is understandable if you haven't watched a game this season... last season..everything you're saying is true...but Reddick has adapte and upped his game this year....he isn't just a shooter anymore...he's actually quite good at creating his own shot nowdays and does it frequently..at a high level.

Something that can be said about him....Duke, mainly J.J.....is HATED....He plays in some of the most hostile environments in college basketball...at the highest level...and consistently gets 25+

His defense could use some work....but how much D does T-MAC play? at the beginning...the shot and his scoring ability can be his meal ticket...I think he's very disicplined and will be a great defender if he hooks up with the right coaches..

Last year he was a shooter.....this year he's a scorer....and in the NBA...I think he'll be a Star...

and if all things go wrong...you act like the NBA couldn't use a few more shooters...

Dude...Let me reestablish something here...

I did NOT...I reapeat, DID NOT say I didn't think Reddick was that deal...I think the kid is good...I said that from the get go...JJ is a beast...

YOU said, "Best and most complete player" and that is where I threw my flag in...I love the kids game, shit I am a shooter myself, and his style of game is mine... /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

But the fact of the matter is that he is NOT a true 1 or a 2 in the NBA...And for him to make it in the league, he is basically going to have to get it on much like Gilbert Aeranas does...He is in for a big surprise the first time he steps on the floor with the likes of D. Wade and K. Bryant...JJ Reddick checking AI..? If he is a true 6'4", his best bet is the 1, and he will have to gain 15-20 lbs...

What do you make of his 2 assists a game and his ability to run the point in the pros..? Shit man, the 1,2,3 spots are the get it on spots in the league man...There is no player in the NBA like JJ that is gettin' it on like that...If he was a good 6'6' or 6'7" givin' it to dudes, then yeah, I'm takin' him number 1, hands down...But he is a project, either way...

Well...who in college, who is probably going to commit to the draft this year...is a better player?

Reddick isn't no Tim Duncan.....but that being said...there haven't been any Tim Duncans...since Tim Duncan.....

Johan Petro would probably lose in a pickup game in my town......he was drafted in the first...as a project..I believe they've even dropped him to the D-leauge..Teams value and could use projects...espically ones who have a great natural shot....that can't be taught. Defense can be taught...and in all reality..how many dudes in the NBA are checking AI? none.....so a better comparsion would be a lesser PG.

Reddick plays the 2 right now...and thats a bit undersized, but Ben Gordon, who I feel is less of a complete player than Reddick is 6'3'' and is playing the 2 successfully for the Bulls.

The skills I see in him are way above average and make him the most complete player at this stage.

Is that saying that Rudy Gay from UConn won't develop into a better player? No....But Reddick is the most complete player, partly because he's been in college all 4 years as of RIGHT NOW....in comparsion to other COLLEGE PLAYERS.

Will he wreck shit in the NBA from the get-go? Probably not...is he doing it now? Yes.

The question was who's the best player in college basketball....not...does this player have the skills to succeed in the NBA.

If you give anyone who's watched a lot of C-B this year....they'd pick either Morrison or Reddick....I've kicked it around a few tables today and it was a pretty even spilt. I'll admit I'm a Reddick guy because dispite the underdog lovability...I like the team thats number 1 and has to carry that prestige around with them all the time.

It's different if you're suprisingly good because no one thought you were anything.....but when you're the one drawing double teams...and have to fight through countless screens just to find an open look...and you still drop ove 25 a game playing for the best team.....you gotta get some love.

Will he succed on the next level.....I agree with you that if he had a few more inches...it'd be a lot easier, but I dont think just because of his height he'll HAVE to adjust to playing the point.... Iverson was a 2 guard until Eric Snow left.....

I mean really...how many pure shooters can you name who are left playing in the NBA? that...if you let him get an open look...its a lock he'll nail it type players... Not too many. I mean Reddick is shooting very close to 50% on the YEAR....

Regardless of the scarfices he'll have to make to succed on the next level...he's doing his damn thing right now....and he only needs to average just under his scoring average for the year for the rest of the season to become Duke's all time leading scorer...and although not as prestigous as the UNC list....they got some good names up there....

I guess I'm not understanding what you mean when you keep calling him a complete player...According to my definition of a complete player, JJ is not fixin' to fall into that category on this level or the next...Like I said, he is the most attractive prospect in my eyes, but we are talking about a different NCAA than a few years ago...

Much of the top talent is already in the NBA...I can't neglect that...

Imagine Amare Stoudamire in the NCAA...Isn't he about Reddick's age..? Givin' dudes in the NBA 40+..? Josh Smith..? Lebron and Carmello..? Ask yourself what seperates them from JJ...Duke has had plenty of talent up in them lights Homez, I am a die hard Duke fan...But the last person to come to the NBA and be as good a star or better..? Grant Hill, and I can only go so far with that...Go down the list of great players from Duke, and peep out their careers in the next level...So I will admit, ballin' at Duke has me more than justified reaon for me to have doubt, especially when you compare a school like...Oh...North Carolina..?
