Ever heard that laughter is the best medicine? I did say that I was glad that you were okay...

laughter brought on by friends.....someone who is constantly trying to insult me comes in a thread of mine and insults me...and I'm supposed to percieve it as a funny joke? the fuck?
and stop quoting everything...if someone posts above you...just use a "^^" or...just post...we all will be able to follow what you're talking about..

Re: Car Accident
Glad to read that you are alright mate. And I wish that iyou will not endure a car crash again of any degree. 'cause no matter how lucky you can be, you never know when it may not be lucky........
QUOTE(Lost Ghost)it doesnt matter how well you're driving...you gotta watch out for other people...
EXACTLY! That is what the coppers told me once, you just have to drive like everyone else is an idiot on the road and be ready...
At peak hour, 5:05pm almost exactly, I was turning right through an intersection on a main road. I had the green arrow to let me go, and had to take the sharp curve pretty slow or I'd end up in the ditch...
The opposite lanes were all stopped- the far right turning lane and middle lane were full of traffic, waiting for their green light. The far left lane was empty.
Right in the middle of the intersection, the green arrow just shuts RIGHT OFF! No orange arrow, or even a red arrow! I'm still moving along quite steadily trying to get outta there, when BAM! This big Holden Commodore station bar with a bloody BULL-BAR flying along over 80 (kilometres an hour, in a 60 zone) smashes right into my left side and pushes me up against the railway crossing warning lightpost! I'm just sitting, there, looking back at him and at the car, wandering what the hell happened, and that I'd be late for dinner..........then a freight train rolls past, just INCHES from me!............
Thank goodness none of us are hurt. His vehicle's front end was a little pranged, but mine was a shambles. Held together but busted.... I go to call the cops with my mobile phone, but find its battery lying near the rear windshield....so I rush over to the other side of the road to use the payphone. A plainclothes detective soon comes along to inspect the incident.
Two uniformed policeman later come along to examine the scene and ask questions. I was surprisingly calm, partly excited actually, but later on I went into some shock. Not really bad, but just worrying.
The car was gonna be wrote off, but since the motor was still good etc., a deal was made with the insurance company to pay half.
$4000 later, that car is now truly a FRANKENSTEIN. The panel beaters couldn't smooth out the bumps, so they actually had to replace parts- the doors, the floor, boot etc. It also got a new paintjob and looks brand new! Not bad for a car that is now currently 16 years old!
Unfortunately, that was not my first car crash (but was the 1st, and only 1st, where I was driving).......watching your mother being whiplashed into unconsciousness and thinking she is dead at 4 years of age is NOT an amusing experience...........

True that. I always think that way on the road. I've seen far too many real idiots to trust a single one on the road.
