Again, members of congress aren't required to go through the detectors...She didn't do anything out of the ordinary...The dude said, "Ma'am, Ma'am" and grabbed her...She was in a hurry, and on a cell phone...That is exactly why I don't have a cell phone, it makes it hard to pay attention...
So, she's going to work as usual, on the phone, and in a hurry, and all of a sudden somebody grabs her on the arm...I'm sorry, but I'd be fuckin' pissed to, and ready to snap...
He asked for my ID and I showed it to him.
So, she did not boguard her way into the building, she did what she normally did...And according to your MOAB raum :
ARE AUTHORIZED TO PHYSICALLY DETAIN according to their rules of engagement and MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) authorizes using grabbing, blocking, or physically blocking a door to enforce access control after three verbal attempts to have the person idenitify themselves.
The officer was out of line...

No one said she was wrong for going around the detector. She was wrong for ignoring the officer and then punching him! He was doing his job. The punch was unwarranted. If she had worn her pin that day he probably wouldn't have stopped her. But no, she didn't want to wear her pin because she thinks it's ridiculous. She brought the situation on herself.

i am not going to speculate she didn't wear her pin because it looks ridiculous.
and the rules of engagement were still intact because she was already through the barrier.
he physically challenged her, AFTER she was through the barrier, and that is within the performance of his DUTY.
she was indignant and hit him with a closed fist. that is illegal. and punishable by a year in prison and fines.
that is all they said. she gave all kind of motive, and played victim.
he may seek civil lawsuit, and she MAY be arrested when Congress adjourns for the election process recess.
the Police have no control of that,.. it is the prosecutor who decides.

I forget which article it's in, but she was bitching about the pin, saying it's too small, it has no picture, anyone can make a copy etc. In my opinion, that's still no reason not to wear the pin.
