Yea, the US just didn't penetrate like they needed to. I think Bruce Arena should have put Eddie Johnson in sooner also. Hopefully he would have had more of a chance to score

We only needed 2 things to advance..one that was out of our control (Italy winning)...and one that we controlled (winning the fucking game). Wouldn't you know it, Italy wins and we still can't control our destiny... WTF????
Maybe Bruce decided it was better to loose a close match against Ghana then to advance and be totally embarassed by Brazil in the next round....
Oh well... congrats to Italy...and congrats to Ghana.... their country must be going nucking futs right now!

I personally think that the US played a good game. I told yousss people, Ghana had no intentions of fucking around in their World Cup debut, underdogs my ASS!.
Draman's move, although controversial (again, one of those situations were referees pretty much make or break games), ended in a fucking phenomenal shot. One of those curves that few goalkeepers know what to do with. The same can be said about Dempsey's shot, you'd have to be either very experienced or an idiot to even be in the way.
Last goal to the US was just inevitable, if you saw the shot from Stephen Appiah's (Ghana) POV, you can see how that shit curved completely to the opposite side of where the goalkeeper went. In the US player's defense (Onyewu), that area close to the goals is by nature, a hotzone for fouls, unfortunately, resulting in penalty kicks. I ask you, though, if you got what appears to be a fucking bull, both in size and in speed, with a name like RAZAK!!!!!!!!!...what choice do you have but to bring his ass down?
As I said before, I didn't think it was the US' time just yet, but the way these cats are assimilating these experiences, I really think they can get real deep in the finals.
Alls I know is, you can cheer for Brasil all you want, but I am not impressed with the way these katz are playing. Argentina, on the other hand, as expected, is bringin the true "bonito" style, in passing and handling. I gotta go watch Brasil against Japan now, I think they will win, the results might not be as obvious as you'd expect.

Portugal Vs Netherlands...
I hope ya'll didn't miss it. Another game ruined/made/changed/ by shady referee calls. Four expulsions, I don't even remember how many yellow cards, and arguably the best goal on this World Cup so far by Maniche.
England vs. Ecuador, another game ruined by referee calls. Love it.
