Dude, your gonna have to learn some fuckin humility...I enjoy reading about your potential but every fuckin sentence is the same old shit...
No one cares if you are smart if you tell them about it.
Best of luck, you seem like you are focused and ready to go...high school seemed kinda dumb to me...But so does college so..LOL...The whole fucked up SAT system, GPA ordeal (wtf is this 5 points for an AP class?! My school was hard as fuck but we didn't have any AP...I know plenty of ppl who have transferred from their *AP* world and ATE IT HARD at my high school...but w/e)...seems flawed pretty badly...Do your thing though, colleges like it...Just don't fall into the capitalistic lie of getting the best grades to go to the best college to get the best job making someone else the best money...
Just keep it all in perspective and it will be fine...Shit I was the busiest person I knew, but I still felt like it wasn't that bad because I had fantasy football Sundays and lunch basketball. <-- might be the only thing (besides friends) that I actually miss about high school...)
And college isn't all about everything people have said, unless you want it to be. I have lived way more moral in college than in hs...Time to grow up, I figure...Got a lot to do with TxV, can't fuck away my weekends partying...Am I missing out? Probably, but I don't feel like I have a choice, this is my purpose...
Best of luck, try to keep the ladies away, I know that will be hard for ya /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I think it goes without saying, that with the level of discussion that you can find here on the site, that the majority of us aren't considered smart because we studied hard as fuck when we got home...
You cats that didn't dig HS shit man...I don't know what to say, lol...School is full of shit fa sho, but life is no different...
I think DD's signature had it right, life is all about ass and its various forms...

QUOTE(Aemeth @ Oct 15 2006, 10:12 AM) Just don't fall into the capitalistic lie of getting the best grades to go to the best college to get the best job making someone else the best money...
That is exactly true.
All the so-called bigshots at high-school, themselves and the high school skite how them bigshots got the best grades and going to the fancy money-grubbing rich stuck-up snobbish cement box universities down south, doing the so-called best courses. It's fucken bullshit. They just disappear...fall into rack and ruin, and turn into crap.
The OP thing, or SAT's whatever you call it, QCS test crap, is supposedly to weed out the "dumb ones" and let the so called top dogs through to the so-called best courses at the so-called best universities.
The best students are the ones that work quite hard, progressively, get not the top but decent grades at high school-> they are the ones that excel at university and get the BEST, most rewarding jobs because they EARNT it, not this fucken lah-dee-dah shit.
It doesn't matter how smart you are, or even the grades you get, it's how you apply yourself at school, and applying yourself and putting it to practice in the real world, that gets you through.
Through in all aspects-> job, money, and yes even chicks.
What I fucken hated the most, why I hate teachers in general and especially the teachers in the current education system, was that the teachers at my high school would talk DOWN to the ones that "didn't get top of the class" and were aiming for trade-type jobs and apprenticeships. They literally said to them "If you don't get a high OP you don't go to university". "If you don't do Board subjects you can't go to university". They pretty much said they were DUMB.
FUCKEN ROTTEN SHITBALLS!!!! How derogatory, and false is that??
There are SO MANY university students who WEREN'T the top dogs at their high school with high-ranking OPs doing the greatest degrees, or not even straight out of high school.
I've met people who dropped out or just left at Grade 10, and got into bulldozing, or did hairdressing, or electrician apprenticeships, or were Dental Assistants in the Army, or snipers (.....), or just stay-at-home mothers, Marines & Navy Seals, weed-killers, council workers, mechanics, computer techs who just did some courses at TAFE (like American Community Colleges), receptionists, heck one of my past lecturers, Dr. Scott Smithers, started out from high school doing LANDSCAPING! Just shoveling rocks and dirt into gardens & paths and maybe putting in a water feature! He's a top-ranking coral-reef geomorphologist!
Now you know why I hate fucken high school so much, apart from being stuck in a cesspool of conformist, judgemental "in-crowd" kafuffle for 5 years. I honestly wish I had went straight from Year 7 (which was fairly crap in itself anyway) to a job for a bit, then university. I learnt more in just 3 months of my degree, then 2 years of crappy High School curriculum garbage...

Dude, your gonna have to learn some fuckin humility...I enjoy reading about your potential but every fuckin sentence is the same old shit...
uhh...calm down.
I'm just giving an update of how I'm doing in school to all those who followed this thread and offered advice when I told them how tough my upcoming year was going to be...
You obviously still don't know me....Ahyja will tell you I am humble and being that we've spent countless time talking...I think he'd be in a better place to make that judgement...
so before you come around telling me I'm arrogant or I need to shut up...understand what I'm talking about.
never did I say in that post " im smarter than anyone here" or "im better than you".....I was simply stating the fact that I'm doing well and not working hard..
And dont sit there and attempt to discredit what I'm doing.....I am in AP classes.....that was a statement I made...did I say "so that makes me better than people who don't take AP classes?" no I did not....so your whole little example of people who get good grades suck in college is lost on me.......My head isn't in the clouds...the only one putting me on a pedistel is you everytime you come into a thread and assume I'm being arrogant and assume this and that about what I'm trying to say.
If you aren't interested in how I'm doing in school because you feel everytime I mention my rank that I'm doing it for bragging purposes...then you should just stay out of the thread.
To everyone else who's offered advice, thank you.

w..........t..............f............I figured you would only respond to the first sentence of my 4 paragraph (or w/e it was) post
here we go again lol...
As a popular and funny fellow...I have friends all over the place
Even consider that some people may not? How is this not implying that you are better (or at least more popular than funnY) than them?
and I KNOW I'm smarter at this age than you were
...
pretty entertaining for a man your age.
...
I already have like 2 hours of homework...and it's the first day.....and I'm like the fastest worker I know...other kids will probably be spending like 5 on it....
never did I say in that post " im smarter than anyone here"
Lol, maybe you didn't directly say it but...this is about as close as you can get...
so I completely destroyed her verbally....while everyone else laughed and pointed at her..... I even saw the teacher having trouble stifling his laughter at it....
Don't fuck 'round with Top Dawg LG or he'll have the whole city after you!!
Ok, maybe she is one of those dumb bitches...but still you seem proud of telling her off...Man I can get wicked it ppl deserve it but I hate doing it and only do it as a last resort...
as I don't see how it'll be possible to do poorly. (in college)
I'm sure you know only 3 out of 10 ppl actually start and finish college...But you don't even see how it'll be possible for you to fail...Are you really not implying that you are smart as fuck and we all should know it?
And am I doing a lot of work? No way! I rarely open my bookbag after I get home....I'm just really efficient these days...
Again, maybe some ppl struggle to get good grades...How the fuck is this supposta not place u waaayl above their stupid ass?
Shit I hate to have to do a kiddish breakdown like this...but damn...I am trying to see ur POV...
I'm just giving an update of how I'm doing in school to all those who followed this thread and offered advice when I told them how tough my upcoming year was going to be...
And the Bush administration is trying to bring peace and prosperity to the Middle East...
I never meant to diss you about the AP, I meant to diss the fact that AP are worth 5 points...WTF is that? I still don't get it...And what was my stupid example of people who get good grades suck in college? I never said anything like that...I said that good grades tend to get you good jobs to earn good money in exchange for making someone else VERY VERY GOOD MONEY. Ideas triumph over grades every time in real life....
As far as staying out of the thread...Shit if you would have fucking read anything ELSE I wrote (a good three paragraphs of my feeble advice) then maybe you wouldn't have posted that? I'm trying to help, I don't have anything to prove...

So a majority of what you quoted was said a couple months ago.....
I never said that I've never said I was smarter than other people......but considering you responded to my most recent post with that....I defended it by saying...in my most recent post I never said anything like that
Telling me I'm not humble after I post something....and then me saying "how was I being arrogant by what I just posted?"....how is it you think it's good proof to show me something I said a while back?
I know I've said arrogant things here......but as of late I haven't been.....so to come in here and blast me for something I said 4 months ago....and expect me not to be like "wtf are you on?" is ridiculous.
of the things you quoted from my most recent post...
And am I doing a lot of work? No way! I rarely open my bookbag after I get home....I'm just really efficient these days...
I even said it in the quote.....I must be getting more efficient....that doesnt say "im smarter than you because I don't have to do as much work"...it says exactly what it says.....I'm good at getting my work done because I'm not spending any extra time than I need....
I'm just mad that you seem to assume everything I say is filled with arrogance.....which is somewhat justifyable based on what you'ev heard from me in the past.....but work with me here....everytime you come on and say I'm arrogant and this and that it only retards my progression.
And in my highschool....the difference from the AP classes and the regular classes is ridiculous.
Maybe in your school the regular classes were challenging....and that's fair...but in my school...the regular ed classes are easy....and the AP ones are reserved for the best....
For example...I saw a senior english class's paper assignment...and over 50% of the grade was for things like "12 font....times new roman script...double spaced" it was ridiculous.
and now I'm tired.
I have no beef.....

Oh shit, I had no idea this post was that old lol...I thought this was all recent...My apologies man, seriously...I have not had a chance to be on the site as much before, and I never saw this post...
:-[
Ok, I am done here lol...
And for what it's worth, my high school didn't have AP and shit like that..that's why I complain...Cuz our classes are at least on the same level as AP..but we couldn't get more than 4.0...but w/e..

That's true. I went to high school with Aemeth and that's something that really pissed me off. Colleges look at AP courses and really dont' look into how tough the high school is in general. As he said, many kids came from AP classes to our school and struggled like hell. Luckily my SAT's and ACT's were high enough but I still wish I had AP

Your posts are understandable considering you didn't know what you were talking about, so..apology accepted.
I can also understand that it must be frustrating to not have AP...and have that be one of the only things colleges really look for....but lets not go about discrediting AP students.....but at the same tmie...I know a ton of kids in my AP classes that I consider to not be on the same level as some others...
There's an obvious division of those who are in AP who would struggle at your school...and those who would do fine.....so while not all would come in and pass with flying colors...not all would come in an struggle either...
