Re: Thor
Just going off that pic, It looks like the JMS/Coipel Thor. Beard is probably a tribute or ripped off Simonson's run.

Re: Thor
No probs. I think (& now know for sure) that all the ultimate thor hooey was just rumours. This cinematic Thor is taking it's cues from the Kirby/Simonson/Jurgens/JMS eras. What did you think of that TOA trailer?

Chris Hemsworth on Thor!
The countdown is on to hammer time for Chris Hemsworth! The big screen adaptation of Thor is a year away from hitting theaters and--thanks to some intriguing teases in Iron Man 2--buzz is already building for director Kenneth Branagh’s version of Marvel’s mighty one. SuperHeroHype snagged a quick minute--literally--with leading man Hemsworth at the Australians In Film Breakthrough Awards bash, where the 6’3” actor was honored for being the next big thing from Down Under, and found him thunderstruck about having just wrapped filming as the God of Thunder.
SuperHeroHype: After the big build-up in "Iron Man 2," are you totally pumped for Thor to hit theaters next year?
Chris Hemsworth: Absolutely! I just finished shooting last Thursday, and saw "Iron Man 2" the other day--which I loved--and saw the tag at the end. I was with a bunch of mates and we all got kind of giddy watching it. I can’t wait! It was such an incredible four months shooting that film, and I think the film’s going to be fantastic.
SHH: We’ve finally seen you in the costume. How did it feel to have the Thor costume on – the very first time, and for four months?
Hemsworth: [Laugh] Yeah, right! Okay, exactly – I put the thing on and said "It’s not very comfortable, but it looks amazing, so it’s all good." And then a couple of weeks in, I thought "It’s getting more and more uncomfortable," and at the end of three, four months it was a pretty difficult thing to wake up and put on every morning. But it’s sells such an image in the picture. It does a lot of the work for you.
SHH: And what was your take on Thor – how did you see him, as you wanted to play him?
Hemsworth: We just kept trying to humanize it all, and keep it very real. Look into all the research about the comic books that we could, but also bring it back to "Who is this guy as a person, and what’s his relationship with people in the individual scenes?" And working with someone like Kenneth Branagh, who has all those bases covered and has so many ideas, it was a hell of a time!
SHH: And lots of hammer training.
Hemsworth: [Laughs] Oh yeah!
Thor hits theaters on May 6, 2011.

Re: Thor
Ok, Now be very worried if this Bondage Club/Toys-R-Us outfit is the final product..
That damn X-Men/Daredevil movie was 8-10 friggin' years ago. They need to stop aping that look already. it was wack then in red leather padding. It's even wacker now in blue for Captain America & in various shades for Thor. Sooo Gay!

Re: Thor
That's what I said! I mean check the cape somehow tucked into the gloves and boots. I mean WTF really?! I now get why pic#1 showed so little. Marvel were trying to hide this balls-up. This dude is a thousands year-olde god. What worked for Jean Grey & Jackman in the first X-men (just the once) should not be forced over n' over again on other cinematic incarnations of comic characters. Especially not a guy who should be all armored chainmail and tunic. That guy above could not sell me on him believably trading blows with the fucking Hulk. More like blowing the Hulk..darklighter1 wrote:How could you get the Iron Man look so dead on and then go with the Bee Gees meet Joel Schumacher looks of this and the Gay army dude look of Cap in the other?

Re: Thor
Dude I just laughed my ass off at that last line about Hulk!!! That was awesome! I am so stealing that when this movie comes out. OMG what a line! But so true! It's exactly that isn't it? The X-Men dark leather look. He said himself how the costume was a pain in the ass to do scenes in and now we know why. He was probably making fart sounds everytime he had to move from all that craptastic leather. Does this look like the outfit of an ancient Norse God? Nope. It looks like Thor from the 25th century. Just utter shit. I thought the Cap outfit sucked, that looks like a bloody masterpeice compared to this. Plus the kid is way to puny to pull off looking like he could take on Robin let alone the Hulk. Looks like Avi Arad is really taken over huh? And no helmut? Oy gevalt!!Sir Jig-A-Lot wrote:That guy above could not sell me on him believably trading blows with the fucking Hulk. More like blowing the Hulk..
