China has said it wants EU-Iran talks to resume, but refuses to cinfirm it will block referring Tehran to the Security Council.

Moscow also now appears unlikely to oppose referral. It says Iran removed the basis for the EU talks by resuming atomic fuel research, and does not believe this can be resolved informally, based on their talks with Iran.

This basically mean that russia knows something they aren't saying about what Iran is doing enriching uranium in facilities previously used for weapons research.

Iran, for all its sincerity is trying to assure the world that nuclear energy is their right, and nuclear weapons are against the teachings of Islam. That's right; they are using the TEACHINGS OF ISLAM as their main public reason for dismissing the silly Western notion that they want nuclear weapons.

I wouldn't give someone a slingshot if they only reason they don't shoot people in the eye is because god tells them not to blind their neighbor...

I'm glad the EU is refusing to resume talks and I hope they go further with the Security Council. Unlike Iraq, I don't think there is one single person in this world who would believe Iran has intentions other than nuclear weapons with such research.

I'd love to see the plans for that Science Fair project...

Iran has officially declared that it will begin full nuclear enrichment (including weapons grade) if referred to the security council. Mainly this is suspected because there is already weapons grade enrichment being done... and it will be impossible to hide from the nuclear watchdogs when they turn their attention to Iran next month,.. um I mean next week (same thing).
