Well, when drawn like that, I don't think that I mind it as much...I still don't know why Kal has a belt on, but if they wrote that into the story somehow, I think that I'd be pleased with a reasonable explanation...I don't mind that it looks a little like armour, if they write it in as some sort of Kryptonian serviceman or battle gear, I'll buy that...Maybe it contains his aura and makes it more significant, something like that...I'm down...

Now I'm starting to realize that the art is really affecting how I feel about this...I guess it always did, but at the thought of or proposal of re-imagination, its a huge deal...

I do. Jim Lee. He has always had a hard-on for belts, pouches & extra pockets. If it works for characters like say Batman who is reliant on many kinds of accessories & paraphernalia then that's fine. Kal-El has never needed squat. Also, he's the Man Of Steel. He needs no frickin' armor. I don't give a frak if it's Kryptonian.

I tend to agree, just saying I'm cool if they do it and try to make it a part of a story somehow...Maybe Batman redid the suit to make him less vulnerable to kryptonite or something...Part of the idea of a reboot would be to eliminate those common weaknesses...Clearly, if you are super smart and kryptonite under yellow sun makes you sick to your core, we find a way to combat the effects of radiation...A suit would be a good way to do that...I'm just up for whatever, hope they're not gonna come weak..!

Yep. Loved Cap's Wonder Woman shout out on his mask. I think Lee is maybe the best artist or in the top 5 anyway working today but he really shouldn't be allowed to design uniforms. And it's not really a knock cause hey I can't either. I mean I'm colorblind so I walk outa the house somedays looking like a 70's pimp. But everybody should know their strengths and costume design is not one of his.

Agreed. I suspect that just because his redesign of the X-Men back in 92/93 was successful that it would work with other heroes. The best character I think he remixed was Psylocke when he turned her into sexy ninja asian gal.

Oh Psylocke was his design? Great indeed! As for the pimp thing I don't have pics cause I don't know I look that bad until I get out and then people start humming the Shaft theme around me under their breath. Then I get the point. :?
