They say Affirmative Action caters to the minorites, well i live in NYC were the minorities are the marjority. But I still the get the boot, when applying for financial aid and scholarships for college.

I didn't think that AA was applied on a local base, I thought that it was nationwide, as far as majority/minority goes...

Gravylegs, do you think your getting the boot is a direct effect of your skin color though..?

I feel you on that college thing. It don't help American minorities. In NYC they approve the use of SAT II, and there is a bunch of foreigners seeking immigration who use their knowledge of their own country to get ahead. This is one of the most prominent forms of "localized" A A.

And in NYC, it is nothing to go to school, and get a corporation to sponsor you in this country. And you can go for a job, and get under bid by a legal alien, who would be willing to work for free if he never had to go back to bumphuk, egypt. I know, cause that is my job situation.

I am white, "so called", but that don't eamn I got money or education.

And, for your information, Ayhja, there is a full thirty percent of financial aid for college in America that you are ineligible for if you are already american, black, mexican, korean, vietnamese, hawaiian, or indiginous- regardless of any other qualifications!

I will not take part in this thread........... No matter how much I want to.... Its just to much to get people who have never REALLY DELT OR LIVED in mine or our shoes to fully understand.....

I mean fuck this country still celebrates the day they stole this bitch.... "Thanksgiving" I guess if you tell someone you took there shit it doesn't constitute as stealing.....

that is not what thanksgiving is supposed to be about.

It is a day to celebrate the Natives helping the FIRST COLONISTS learn how to survive the First Winter here off the resources of the strange new continent. That is admirable, and there were only three ships here at the time.

The first colonists were not land barons, and did not even want to be here. They were stranded people who had missed the destination of their trip (India) by far, and were left with too few supplies to make a return trip to Europe.

I will not make a claim for or against REALLY DEALING OR LIVING AS A MINORITY IN THE US. I will simply say, affirmative action is a ploy created by Lyndon B. Johnson, from the words of John F. Kennedy, and it is more exploited by foreigners than American minorities.

That may be the case but, you don't think it's "exploited" by foreigners BECAUSE they need it?. Is the inclusion of "outsiders" really THAT catastrophic? I don't think AA calls for a 50/50 workforce, does it?.

Unless there's a big ass chunk of white OR black North America that is just ITCHING!!! to start a "career" in toilet bowl cleaning or field work, I think the problem with jobs in the US has more to do with overseas outsourcing than in-house "invasions".

of course,.. I agree with that xen, but I was not complaining about the job situation over here. I was just saying the SAT 2 is not effective affirmative action for the disadvantaged minorities in this country, because it exploits the american lack of accredited culture.
