yeah, sounds like something messed up. I must've been lucky in my upgrades as the only issue I've really had thus far is sometimes the search doesn't respond and I have to kill the process to make it come back to normal.

My biggest problem with Windows 10: Instability
Windows 10's strength -- its comprehensiveness -- is also its biggest weakness. Too many moving parts are making for an unstable computing experience for me. Bring on Redstone!

Why won't Microsoft publish Windows 10 update release notes?
While Microsoft continues to document security updates, those whose job it is to deploy and maintain Windows 10 receive no official information on what non-security updates are being pushed to the platform.

Windows 10 installer could be on your PC whether you want it or not
Microsoft is pushing the Windows 10 installer files to users who have not requested them just in case they decide to upgrade.

Microsoft appears to be forcing people to upgrade to Windows 10.

Went to check for Windows updates on my Win 7 machine today. Among the optional updates was the Windows 10 update and it was checked. If I did not uncheck it I would be running Windows 10 against my will.

On my Windows Update it's a huge thing and you have to click around it to get to the other "optional' updates.

Petition at change.org

What Computer users want changed in Windows 10

To effectively implement and use Windows 10 in our homes and businesses, Microsoft must make changes to both the operating system and the policies the company put in place to support the new OS. Those changes fall into two categories:

There are certainly some kinks, but I'm kinda getting used to it. I have rarely had Windows Updates break my machine, so that doesn't bother me as much. I keep having shitty issues related to sleep and suspend, networking, etc. I agree with that petition though, those things much change.

Also, it is said that this is the last OS? WTF is this?

Yeah, it's supposed to be the 'last' OS as from now on they're moving to a 'software as a service' model and they're just going to continue to update this one with different builds. No more service packs either.

I've gotten so used to it now, I can't imagine that I'd ever go back. It's pretty good, save for looking for things in new places and all that...
