Jay Williams is suspected to be fully recovered by now..whether he signs with the Bulls or any team..or even comes back this year is still up in the air.

but...that has nothing to do with Larry Brown.

I live here in Chicago..so I follow the Bulls, and I was following Jay William's blog entries for a while about how near the end of the regular season he'd be back to full strength, and over the off-season he'd start practing his jumpshot and such over again, so it is all still undecided, I'd love to see him come back, because after all he was our 2nd overall pick after Yao Ming, but the way the team is headed, he might not fit in with Ben Gordon, Kirk Hinrich, and Chris Duhon.

True that. Gordon's a beast. I can't remember how many times I watched Sportscenter highlights of him crushing teams in the 4th quarter.

Damn LG, you die hard like Bruce Willis..!

Starpower doesn't win championships...For an example of this, please see Detroit Pistons team...There are no bonafied superstars on that team...There are some great players, but no Kobe, Vince, D Wayde caliber players...

Point 2...

Will you PLEASE tell me how Stephon and A.I. are DIFFERENT players..? I'm not saying one is better than the other one, you can look at stats just like I can, there are some discreptancies, but not one that will give you the argument that they are not the same kind of player...Like I said, I doubt if me or you could check either of them...So who is better is a matter of opinion...They are both undersized 2's that can score...That's not even a discussion Homez...

You talk like 10 games is that hard..! Homez...In 2000-01 Detroit was 32 - 50...Every season after that damn near they were 50-32 or better...Will you please tell me the monster star that they got in that year to give them that turn around..?

Right...

In 1997-98, the Philadelphia 76'ers were 31 - 51...Larry Brown took over in 1998 I believe...By 2000-01, they were 56-26....

What do you mean you'll have a problem reading what I say about the NBA..? Shid...

** waiting **

So...any player who is big and 7'0 is now just like Shaq.

Stop being fucking stupid, no one in their right mind would say "yeah....I'll pick Marbury on my team over A.I."

Pistons....aside from having the 3 time Defensive player of the year and back to back all-star at center, an up-and-coming defensive monster at SF. C-Billups who emerged as a star UNDER L.B. and Rip Hamliton is still young, and just these last couple years has grown into his own, and no one has ever doubted 'Sheed as a star.

The Knicks are NOTHING LIKE the Pistons in any way shape or form.

So, it took L.B. 3 years to turn the team around with an MVP- superstar, future HOFer on his team.....and you're telling me he's a LOCK to do it with the Knicks...with no such player...and while all the other teams in the East are getting better?

Let's take a look.
.........A.I..........Starbury
PPG:..30.7........ 21.7 In agruebly the most important stat...A.I. by 9
RPG:..4.0...........3.0 A.I is shorter and still gets more rebounds.
APG:..7.9...........8.1 Marbury by .2 ....not even noticable.
SPG:..2.4...........1.49 A.I by nearly 1

and those are just last season's stats.

Let's look at some player milestones for each.

Marbury

Named NBA All-Rookie First team.

Has appeared in 14 NBA Playoff games.

Only player along with Gary Payton to be in the top 15 in points and assists, and the top 10 in points and assists.

One game hit 8 out of 11 3-pointers

Two Time All-star. (2001, 2003)

Named NBA third team in 2003.

Allen Iverson

Named MVP of the rookie-game during All-Star Weekend.

Hold's an NBA record for scoring 40 points in five straight games as a rookie.

Holds the Sixer's all time rookie record for points.

Named NBA Rookie of the Year.

MVP of the all star game in 2001.

Lead league in scoring and steals in 2001 to be named league MVP.

Tenth fastest player to reach 14,000 points.

5 consectutive years as a starter on the All-Star team.

In Feb. 2004 he scored 40 points in a game to mark the 50th time he'd done it.

Co-captain for Team USA.

Two time all nba first team (1999, 2001)

Three time all nba second team (2000, 2002, 2003)

So....let's take a look at those.

Marbury's been NBA 3rd team once. Never first or second team.

A.I. has been 2nd team 3 times..and first team twice.

Marbury's been to 2 all star games.

A.I has started in 5 straight

A.I. has won.. the Rookie game MVP, Rookie of the Year, the All-star game MVP, and the league MVP.

Marbury was on the all rookie team.

Now...lets take a look at some career high's

....................A.I..................Starbury

Points...........60......................50
Assists..........16 (2).................20
Steals...........9 (2)...................6
Rebounds.....11.......................11
FG's made....21.......................18
FT's made....24........................16

So there you have it.

Stats....Milestones...Career Highs.....A.I. SHATTERS Marbury in every single one.

I'm even willing to say. Allen Iverson is more comparable to Michael Jordan, than Stephon Marbury is to Allen Iverson.
