You act like he doesn't get it wrong........
if this guy got every audible and read right....they'd be scoring 70 a game....and run each play for like 7 yards......the only reads and audibles people know about are when he reads blitz and hotroutes Harrison on a fly to the endzone..

He could get every audible right, and somebody get smart and figure his audibles like that one MLB did last year, and they are fucked...Yet and still, he's taking the time to do it, when no other QB does, or can...Considering the caliber of talent in the NFL, this is amazing...Dan Marino was a beast, and he had NO running game...At all...They knew he was gonna throw every down damn near, and he still did his thing...For Peyton to break his record with a stud like Edge in the backfield...That's a testament to his ability, as well as the team as a whole...
As far as what you want in a QB, the only thing you could find as a knock is that he's not Mr. Mobile...He is the textbook definition of a pocket passer and that's fine with me...He is a good leader, is as hard working as he is talented, and he keeps his shit clean...If we are talking potential...Can't go wrong with Vick, Big Ben...But to me, there's Tommy Brady, Peyton Manning, a pretty good sized gap, and then your McNabb's Culpeppers, etc...I've peeped his game, he doesn't stare down recievers, his timing routes are good, he has great touch...Quick release...Throws the deep ball...And he's not THAT immobile...
Not saying he's God Son...Just saying he is very much above average...

people who list him as the single greatest football player right now......come on now...with LT...Ray Lewis....I'm too tired to think of other people.....but this guy is not #1 .....maybe based on his TD's from last season...but based on this season....no way.

Oh, well, I wouldn't go that far...Someone who takes a pounding every game might get that...Like you mentioned, LT...But until I see somebody putting up Marshall Faulk numbers, That 1,000/1,000 shit...I can't show no love to the #1 ranking...But, I might go top 5, definitely top 10 for Peyton...

I don't think you could say Ray Lewis is no 1, or even the no 1 defensive player. I don't think he's as dominant as he once was. I think fellow Hurricane Ed Reed has been more influential from last year onwards. Mind you, the whole Ravens team seems to be down the drain - case in point, Jamal Lewis. How does a guy we might have been considering for this "best players" discussion get so crap so fast?

time away from football....his mentality and focus got fucked up....so did his ability.
Yeah you're right...Ed Reed definitely is in the talk for top 5 players right now....and I'll give Peyton top 10 easily....but he aint no #1....

Even Ed seems to be having a bit of a down-year - hasn't played that many games. What I love about him is that he always seems to pop up in the right place and doesn't rely just on his athleticism.
