The majority of the people that you know that believe in God probably are very religious...I thought we have already established that the two are not co-dependant..? The notion of an omnipotent entity requiring the worship of its creation is ridiculous beyond my wildest dreams...Why would I create webpages that say, "All praise to AYHJA," when I click the links..?

And if you had to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt everything you believe, could you..? NOPE...The "majority" of people don't have concrete, indisputeable proof of alot of things...If not most...Yet, you are fully expected to be able to simply not believe in God because there is no "proof"..?

I stated that my logic is based on probability...Probability based on study and observation...Things like Pi and the Golden Ratio...Unavoidable truths that have outlasted man's scrutiny and doubts...You seem hell bent to seem that God is someone to follow, which seems like something you got from the study of religion...If I wanted to refute those things, I would do them on my own...

Surely you can do better than that...And since you say it, how about you prove there isn't any proof..?

Basically, if you've ever tried thinking like a God, the idea of God existing isn't far fetched at all...One thing that we are taught from religion is that God made man in his image...Our universe is but a single canvas...Gotta think multidimensional peeps...

The 4th dimension is known to exist, as there are undoubtedly others...But we are limited to this dimension (primarily)...Doesn't mean the 4th isn't there just because we cannot percieve it...It is figured to be time, and relative to speed and space positioning, because we get infinitely heavier the closer we get to the speed of light...

(I am trying to use laymans terms to enlighten things a bit, this conversation will get multidimensional as SOON as raum gets in here...So, I am trying to warm you up to think that way, if you're not already...Forgive me if this is too shallow, but I know first hand how much shit it can be to bite off.)

At any rate, don't let religion define what exists for you, and what doesn't...I want to hear your own thoughts on the matter, not how ridiculous religion sounds...

Woah. I'm so confused I'm not even sure if I'm confused, lol. So if God isn't associated with religion in this particular case, and if the entity is not to be followed or worshiped. Then what is it's purpose? Are you saying that an unproven God created us? Or that it just exists? Or what? :?:

I'm arguing the same thing you are.......you really can't prove anything beyond a shadow of a doubt....so why is "life on other planets" or however you put it....constantly an exception to the rule....the people who say it doesn't exsist are the people who say there is no proof to support it.....

I threw out God nonchantly.......and you took it and ran with it...and got away from my oringinal point....and turned this whole thread into something that it wasn't meant nor intended to be...

And Sir, I just told you that I based my post on probability, and known universal principles, not an absolutely HORRIBLE analogy...I didn't say that I had proof...I said it is illogical to believe otherwise, and if you meant to refute or agree, then maybe you should try being more clear with what you say...

You can't just throw "God" out nonchalantly and then trip out when peeps react...This topic is related to the discussion of a God existing, and is very relevant to a person with a creationist POV...Were we intelligently designed or a big bang anomoly..?

That isn't a question directed at anyone who thinks there might be life elsewhere.....which is why I felt raum was unjustified in telling me to prove he doesnt exsist.......

I have stated that I think life elsewhere is possible...and therefore I agree that while I have no proof of God's exsistence, I believe he does have one.

Ok, if youre asking about life on Mars, or another planet that we can somewhat understand from earth, then no, I don't think there's any intelligent life. But asking if it's out there? Might as well ask where infinite ends! For don't the odds of another planet being able to sustain life increase as our spacial boundries increase? So now we must ask..is space infinite or not?
