QUOTE(ruffriders23)You can take Kobe at the 2 if you want, but the rest will suffer. Jordan was the best and didn't mind if Pippen got his. Kobe is just as selfish as Iverson. Kidd dishes the rock, Jordan and James score, Duncan and Olojuwan protect the middle. I take him over Shaq because Shaq will want to score 30 points and thats not what I want from my fantasy center.
What..?
How is Kobe selfish..? Man, I fucking HATE when dudes say that shit...Kobe is a career 5 APG...The league leaders usually have around 9 or 10, so...WTF..? MJ had very similar numbers during their championship runs...So, tell me, what makes Kobe so selfish..? I mean, I could see if he was averaging 2, 3 dimes a game...But the past few years he's consistently put up 5 or better...And furthermore, he's not a PG...
By the way, Shaq has never averaged 30 points for a season...
And will somebody please explain to me how its plausible to make a G.O.A.T. team and not a 'fantasy' team..? Case and point, Wilt did his thing...But do you honestly think he would hav been jumping up and butter rolling over a dude like Alonzo Mourning..? Hell naw..! Zo would have beat that shit like crazy...
The game has changed...I built my G.O.A.T. team based on the idea that if I could have any 5 players on the floor at the same time, who would they be...Nobody in this thread could convince me that if Larry Bird and Kevin Garnett played a game of one on one in their primes, that Larry Bird would dominate KG...That said, how is it you chaps are picking LB as the G.O.A.T..?
There ain't nothing that connects having an MVP trophy with greatness...And that is not a knock on any MVP winner...But to try and bash Dirk with that is about as much bullshit as you can pull from the pasture...Kobe Bryant dropped 81 points on the raptors, shooting almost 50% from the field...And he's not MVP..? The Lakers would be 20 game winners w/o Kobe...There are alot of players that could be valid in an MVP award, but unfortunately, its rarely about the player, as much as it is the team...
