you undo yourself Brains: look again.

on the 360:
"This item appears to be in great shape and it is in the Original Manufacturers Box.
Our items range from OPENED BOX DEMOS or CUSTOMER RETURNS. Thousands of happy customers are thrilled with their deals. As with any demonstration or returned item there may be issues that we are not aware of. Please READ the entire auction for more information and details."

REFURBISHED or RETURNED XBOX360 in Original Box, now sold for 204.13 USD after 15 bids. and cost 30 dollars for shipping.

BRAND FRIGGIN NEW PS 3 with 8 bids STILL ONLY 127.50. Shipping costs 7.33 dollars.

So, tell me again:

What logic makes it look like there is a better market for the ps3:

that it is selling for less than a nintendo DS line at retail?

or

that less people are bidding on the ps3?

or

that it costs almost four times more to get the OPENED XBox360 to your door?

Face it: this is an indicator that Market demand and value favors opened 360 over sealed ps3.

at almost 300 now and still 12 hours to go.

'nuff said, no?

sony co-developed a BRAND NEW processor for the damn machine - the fastest available on the market as we speak, they popped in blu-ray (the lack of which apparently is getting rockstar into problems with GTA4 on 360), they give you a free online experience, wifi, bluetooth, card readers and hdmi 1.3.

ALL THAT for a mere $100 more than xbox asks for its elite system, which only gives you the cables included and a 60Gb HDD more. you STILL pay for xbl, you do NOT have wifi, bluetooth, hdmi 1.3, card readers, the choice to pop in any notebook HDD or the possibility to install an OS NOR a next gen optical drive.

i still wonder: why the hell are you so negative about sony? what the hell did they do wrong?

Um, maybe you forget something. When this started, it was with ME saying "hey, guys, got a XBox 360. Games are great, no issues, and its worth the money." Then YOU cranked in and slammed Microsoft, and started hyping the PS3, which was not even released. and you told me what you have personally against microsoft, so you have a bias because of business against Microsoft. I have a bias for Microsoft because they have far better games for me to play, and Sony practices animal sacrifice. I mean, yeah, Microsoft made the world's largest pinata, but that was paper!

For the record, I said nothing about Sony PS3 in my first post, because IT WASN'T OUT YET. You brought the fight to the table. Not me. It mildly amuses me, so I persist.

And it is not hard to defend microsoft, they have some good games, better ones on the way. They have tangible exclusive content that makes their arsenal of titles far more engaging for me, and enough of a market presence they are commending "previously exclusive" titles for other consoles to other consoles for their own release schedule. They also venerate ancestors of the video game market, and know how to make gamers feel valued. A video game company I am acquainted with told me "It is foolish and self-destructive for a company to develop a large budget third person next gen title, and not consider the XBox360 a primary vehicle for launch." I concur completely.

As for the PS3, I would need a hour long power point presentation to tell you what all they did wrong. Mainly, they forgot to include gamers in their strategy for their console. They had a wonderful season to try and get some games, and despite what the hell people say, Sony forced the guy who made the ps3 into retirement, and had to force lay-off a large pecentage of their employees!!! Mission accomplished, I guess.

and I still maintain if you are a playstation kind of guy, the ps2 has a better catalogue of games, and the time is not yet here that anything for the ps3 is a must-buy for gaming. that may change sooner than I think, but they keep finding ways to lose gamer cred by making great announcements, and then smacking themselves in the mouth.

"Game where you fly around the sky on a dragon, fighting other people on dragons" WOOT!
"um, single player only...." WHAT?

"Game where you experience being a Hassassin Templar assassin in The Holy City." YEAH!
"until you realize this is a virtual analysis of a sci-DNA sample for a futuristic game" ARGHH!!!

"Home - a new experience of our virtual world where you can moonwalk for your online friends"
"until you see all the advertisements on the walls of this "world" and realize noone has a ps3 yet."

Hopefully, they will iron it out, but until then, they are just not making it easy to find a validate a ps3.

AND ANOTHER THING: You, sir, are a hypocrite. You cry and whine about all the poor lives wasted all over the world, and not one bit of *poutrage* over the unwilling goat Sony sacrificed. The goat didn't even volunteer!!!

lol

only have time now to react on this part...

what you came to blame me of, IS extremely funny. you cry about a goat being sacrificed in a media stunt (I do not know if you are vegetarian or not - if you are you got a bit more right to squeel here). But goating aside, I also seem to remember that you think all the lives lost in Iraq are "worth it" because a crooked administration thought a "pre-emptive strike" on an independent country was way to go in light of a "war on terror" (which really should be named "war for terror" now)

hmm. Me myself, don't know where you got your values buddy and call me a hypocrite.

I do not consider the strike on Iraq preemptive. I was in the gulf when they attacked our embassy and two ships. Payback was just delayed.
