well that's just it,it wasn't intentional cheese like say the FF films are full of,Ube. so it grates badly.

elektra was a train wreck. no one could ever do her justice.

Face it, they needed to give Daredevil an origin and a motivation
see you said it yourself: horned tights. it was heavy bondage leather gear. nothing akin to or anywhere near tights. guys like him & Spidey need mega flexible costumes as the both traverse the city skyline & do a lot of running & jumping. & as you said , DD is no different from Batman physically, so why all the bad Matrix stuff? Val Kilmer's Batman outDaredeviled Daredevil himself by 8 odd years..

J-Lo. you saying she wouldn't have been at least great eye candy in Elektra's red joint? & her dancer's bod & background would've given any HUMAN fight scene some cred. i saw dat Enough movie on cable. she could scrap.

the origin was the one solid part of the movie. the main reason DD appeals to comic buyers is that he is human & blind. albeit with the other 4 senses heightened. the book never had a huge following until Miller did his original run in the late 70s when he totally changed it up from just being the poor man's Batman & added much needed dimension to it.

at the end of the day,it was a poorly executed movie. if audiences continue to accept swill of that poor standard, the studios will keep on dishing out more shit like it & Ghost Rider,X3 & Elektra.

the one thing i dig about that disasterous JLA project that keeps on rolling is having Common as GL,John Stewart. he seems ancient compared to the other casting choices. i'm still thinkin' they'll end up with something akin to Smallville The Movie.

Oh God, please no. I'd love to see John Stewart in a live-action flick as much as anyone. But I don't think I agree with any of the casting in the new JLA movie, including Common.

he aint a thespian but he doesn't have to carry the whole movie on his own. it'd be different if it was a solo GL flick.

I guess I'm so disappointed b/c it doesn't seem that long ago when there was the possibility of Bale and Routh doing a World's Finest movie after the end to their respective series. Both actors seemed open to the idea. So why bring in a new Batman and Superman?

In their rush to get this JLA movie out, WB might be overlooking the fact that they could potentially have another Batman and Robin on their hands.

i think it'll make Batman & Robin look like The Crow honestly. i'm still not totally ruling out seeing the Bale/Routh movie. after JLA bombs what'll Warners have left but those 2 respective series. i still do not get why they are pushing for this to introduce the Amazon when they had a badass script written by Joss fucking Whedon for a solo WW flick. WB/DC are sooo going about this the wrong way. i actually think they are now letting Singer go through with Man Of Steel so they'll have back-up in case JLA bombs.

Yeah, I was glad to hear about that. For a while, I was worried there would be no sequel at all to Superman Returns.

"In Case" it bombs..?

I wish they'd just relegate this project to a made for TV movie...I don't want to see another Superman or Batman between the 'real' movies...I don't think that DC gets it, part of the lure of the movies is the characters...Aside from a few movies prior to, I don't recall ever seeing Reeves in another major motion picture...He was Superman, and that was enough for me and most people...

Bale is a bit more dynamic actor, so you're not so quick to make him Batman every time you see him, but even still he's a fucking awesome Batman...I couldn't ask for a better performance from him, so its definitely unwise IMO to throw some other guy under the bus...And I definitely believe that Routh works well as Superman, cause Tom Welling on Smallville does not wear the suit...

I'd hardly feel that I was the minority on this...
