Yeah what the hell is going on with your Sox Jim? Man that is a shitstorm they have brought down on themselves. I think Ozzie may get canned for this performance at the end. It's self destruction on a Mets like scale...well maybe not that bad. ;)
You know everytime I've been to Chicago I've never even met a White Sox fan so it's good to see somebody cares out there for the "Other Team".

Sorry DL, I'm gonna have to side w/ TT on this one....
I can't believe out of the four teams left, I dislike the Phillies the least.

HOW can you hate the Red Sox...I mean TT is understandable, he has the misfortune and bad taste enough to be a woeful Yankees fan so rationality is out of the question with him. But...et tu Ero? :?:

Yup, proud Yankee fan here too. So I'll feel a bit bad when I beat TT in the fantasy league this week. ;)
But that aside, will this latest early playoff exit of the Angels finally all this talk about how "great" this team is? Granted I'm still a bit bitter that the Yankees are at home already, but seriously, they get bounced out every year. Look I understand everyone either loves or hates the Yankees and will dump on them every chance they get when they don't preform up to expectations, but how are the Angels any better? Not to make excuses, because I really don't think the Yankees were the best team, but the last 4-5 years our Pitching staff has been in shambles come playoff time. Mostly due to bad personal choices, but also some bad luck w/ injuries. I think the Yankees set a record for most starting pitchers over the last 3 years or so.
And I know most people will say, "oh but you're the Yankees, look at how much you spend?" Money can't prevent injuries. Sure one can say look at the Red Sox, but while they did miss Schilling all year, did you really expect much from him this year? You're crazy if you thought he was still the same guy from '04. Sure you have some injury concerns now, but you were already in the dance before these concerns came up, and it proves my point about the Angels being overrated anyway.
bleh.... enjoy it while you can, cuz we will win one in the next 3 years... if not more.

Honestly I thought they were a lock for at least making the WS with the way Dempster was pitching and a half way decent Zambrano. Plus no D-Backs, my preseason pick. They just ran into that sledgehammer named Manny. I have no Idea why they pitched anywhere near the plate with him up. If I were the Phillies, I'd walk him every time. Maybe bean him in the leg a few time too....
and sadly yes I'm serious... and that was the same reaction my friend from Boston gave me too.... :x
