Ok I take it back. I found & bought Terminator Salvation on the cheap today & I'm man enough to admit that the 2nd time around was much much better than when I saw it at the cinema last year. I'm still annoyed @ Bale using his Batman voice though.I actually think I prefer Salvation to T3 now as this one doesn't have Arnie writing his own jokes & sight gags ala Batman&Robin..

AH HA!!!! I knew you'd come around! Coincidence I just rented and watched it again too. Hey in your copy does it have any extra scenes that were cut out Jig? The rented copy had shit for extras. I think what hurt this movie the most was the bad taste everyone had for the movie going in cause McG was the director (Not to mention the Bale tirade proceeding it either). But you're definitely correct with Bale doing his Batman act in this.

Nope, I haven't perused the extras on disc#2 yet. Will let you know when I do. From reading back of the dvd case, there seems to be a lot of bonus material and that my movie is 3 minutes longer than the cut released to cinemas. I must say I was surprised to find no commentary track on the main disc when I checked yesterday..even though wikipedia says there is one on the damn blu-ray. Fucking Sony are holdouts! I was willing to give McG the benefit of the doubt going in & the Bale thingie in the media never fazed me. I don't let tabloid gossip about celebs affect my movie experience. If I did, I wouldn't bother watching them. The stars are paid well enough not to let their personal crap affect their performances. If it does, then they shouldn't be working in the biz.

I didn't mean you I just meant overall. I think McG gets killed on the internet by the fans so it traslated over enough that people either skipped this altogether or went in in jaded to start with. Which I can't blame them when you consider 99% of what he's been involved with turns out to be crap. Not to mention that anyone that wants to be Identified as "McG" has to be a tool anyway I mean what is this High School?
Thanks for the info on the extras. Have to get around to getting all the vids someday for my collection....even three....ick. :p

McG might be a tool but I don't think he is anywhere in the league of hack fucks like Brett Ratner or Uwe Boll (or Lucas & Spielberg whose clunkers far outweigh the good stuff they did at the start of their careers). I dug Terminator Salvation & by pure total coincidence started watching a show (Supernatural)this week that McG is exec producer on. So far that balances out those 2 wackass Charlie's Angels movies he did.
