M8, what does what you just said...Have to do with ANYTHING..? I do wish you guys had time to elaborate on your points...All we do is come back and say, "Huh..? What..?"

Such statements require some sort of explanation, so please feel free to let it pour man, good grief...I have no idea as to why you said what you just said, and what you said it in response too...

hey trashtalker,

splain to me how you can bad mouth "New Age" stuff like Esoteric Meaning and Mystic Exploration, and reference Jacob Boheme, one of the greatest mystics of the 16th century Teutonic Christian Movement.

How is his ability to see into the Aethyric Realms, and percieve auras any different?

One of the greatest influences in modern qabalistic thought, and the person to solidify the Eastern practice of meditation in the West.

"The Key of Jacob Boheme" is on my required reading list for all my students, you know? His work is everyway commendable, and he ranks highly in every accord.

How did you come to read Jacob Boheme?

vertical,

But how did this ego come about?

Did God "put" it in us based on the Boheme principle that tt said?

the ego was not put in us, it is a component of our being that develops over time. it is a by-product of being self-determinate.

I came across the Boheme quote from a site that I went to that was talking about predestination. I haven't read anything else by him.

I'm kind of loss on this subject. I think I'm just gonna sit back and read for a while....
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

While I come up with a more substantiated response.......

QUOTE(DeEje)God cannot make a square round because nothing can be square and round at the same time.

A circle is actually made up of many corners, hence a combination of squares.

i figured it out..

God knows our choices, but he doesnt choose for us.

Yes there is a difference if you think about..

I believe, the answer here, is The Middle Path (shout out to all yall Buddhists /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />). Free will will always have an asterisk by it like Bonds records, but it does still exist in a sense. Although God knows what we are choosing, he did not/does not influence that choice. So in a way it is free will, in a way it is not. The Middle Path..

That doesn't make sense, Homez...

It makes more sense to say that he knows the options that are available to us, hell, he may even know how it ends...But how it gets to that point, is totally up to you...

There are more ways than one to get to a destination, to say that God knows that when we get to the intersection we are going to turn right on Morale street, and then take a left on Goodwill street to get to Heaven avenue defeats teh purpose...

I'm still saying that we don't have free will. If God is all-knowing, and knows what will happen before it happens, then it isn't free will.

Just cuz he knows doesnt mean he chooses for us..

The only reason He knows is cuz he has seen us choose it...even tho we havent chosen it yet..we are bounded by time, God isnt..

Ayhja, your saying that God knows the destination, just doesnt know how we are going to get there? Well, every 'destination' in life is unique to some degree..so if God knows the destination, he must know what choices we are going to make to get there for there is only one set of choices to be to get tot aht particular place in life..
