Hmm, I actually was not aware that Maxwell was not the original singer of this. I just listened to the original and I like it a lot too. Maxwell really put a lot of emotion into singing his though that you feel the power of those lyrics more.

Wow...shows my age that I had NO IDEA Maxwell's version was a cover.
Aside from the sensational lyrics and emotion of the song itself, I'm not really diggin' Kate Bush's version. Probably has a lot to do with hearing Maxwell's for years though.
And H, K-Cole is super talented, I heard she's a REAL bitch tho... :(
EDIT: here's another version, where finally someone didn't try to do that whole song in falsetto. And as a backstory, he just had a child a few weeks before this show

2nd EDIT: I always thought the live version was MUCH better than the music video version. Just the chops on this dude are amazing.

Had the pleasure of going to a JM concert on the 14th. This is a video from the same set, but in a different city. Unforunately the only video I could find of it from the 2010 set has this moron screaming most of the time, but it is pretty much the same. Only difference was that in Chicago he played for about 4-5 minutes longer. Either way....it was pretty magical to hear this live. The youtube version does it absolutely no justice.

And this song was also quite amazing live...couldn't find the version he played at the concert I went to, but this is prob the most popular live version

^I love John Mayer. Super talented artist (he is more than just a musician). I own and cherish all his albums. Lucky you.
This guy just killed this song in the live performance he did on David Letterman's show so I will post that:

Edit: I just listened to that guy's version on American Idol who did "This Woman's Work." Great job! He used a normal voice and made it sound a bit old school. Really nice though. Check out the note he hit from 1:41 - 1:49 though; wow, just incredible! However, I must say that singing this song in the "falsetto" way is a lot harder than how he sang it normally.

That vid looks like some of the more groundbreaking hip hop videos from the early 90s.
That Bruno Mars kid sounds like Off The Wall era Michael Jackson. Great song Great voice. Thanks for the intro.
