AHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Nice. That's a Palin I would vote for.
This is where we differ. I hold them to both. I need to hear these politicians talk specifics about their plans. It would be a travesty if Obama or McCain skate into the White House on empty slogans and partisan hoopla.raum wrote:I can not and will not hold people to what they say in the furors of speeches. I hold them to the policies they deliver in writing as executive actions!
And it proves my point about the importance of these candidates talking policy specifics on the campaign trail. If Obama is contradicting himself, you'll never know it unless he speaks. I have no problem looking at their policy plans but I want them to talk and discuss their ideas with the voters. I hold them to their words because words matter. But Obama's quote from his own mouth doesn't hold water according to this actual plan of policies.
He will cut oil and gas taxes, and enforce price structures in a regulatory petroleum market much like current power prices are enforced by the NERC and FERC to prevent market manipulation.
nice! mandatory civil service. and military expansion.Bastard Brigade wrote:This is where we differ. I hold them to both. I need to hear these politicians talk specifics about their plans. I wish Obama hadn't refused simultaneous appearance like McCain requested. McCain hoped to debate more on the road by now. Obama refused and focused on securing a vote for candidacy over Clinton. Oh, but the debates are coming, though...
I look at my own medical records as it is my right, and ask for a line by line description of another physician... without that doctor being present. I am a pain in the ass in the hospital, but I have always found that they will oblige me when I start invoking HIPA and threatening to not let me doctor have access to my records and asking to speak to a Chaplain and a representative from billing.Imagine being diagnosed with cancer and going to see your doctor to find out how he's going to treat you. Will you need chemotherapy? Surgery? Drugs? And all the doctor keeps telling you is how much he cares about you and understands these are tough times for you and that you're probably feeling depressed and uncertain about your future. Thanks doc, but what about treatment? What are you going to do to save me?
But if you have never read their plan, you will never know when they are contradicting it.And it proves my point about the importance of these candidates talking policy specifics on the campaign trail. They wrote a great deal of words in their policies. Do you want them to get on TV and read them? That never happens. in the debates, they are debating parts of their plans and policies,.. same as the priamaries. it you want to be able to follow the debate for real - read the policies. otherwise; frankly, your support of a candidate is uninformed.Sounds great. I want to hear more of this from McCain and Obama in their own words. May the best man win! (ON THE ISSUES!)
How many people actually know obama wants a draft?
July 2, 2008, with Sen. Obama speaking at the University of Colorado:So when I'm President, I will set a goal for all American middle and high school students to perform 50 hours of service a year, and for all college students to perform 100 hours of service a year. This means that by the time you graduate college, you'll have done 17 weeks of service.
We'll reach this goal in several ways. At the middle and high school level, we'll make federal assistance conditional on school districts developing service programs, and give schools resources to offer new service opportunities. At the community level, we'll develop public-private partnerships so students can serve more outside the classroom.

Beacause I hate when people who aren't even American come in here and try to derail and coherent debate with some diatribe.why was my original post edited anyway?
That was me. I hit the edit instead of the quote button. After i had "replied" I had mangled his post to where it was unrecognizable drawing all kinds of errors out in his post. Then I saw he wasn't even American and had posted here 4 times in 9 months. Sorry, for doing it, but I left it there because honestly, it was crap, uninformed and as mindless and lent no value to the discussion. To me, until you are informed or involved or engaged,Sir Jig-A-Lot wrote:To whomever edited blixa's post w/out leaving your fingerprints on it: Lame. Just fucking Lame.
YES. Me. I take that VERY seriously. I don't care if he questions or criticizes my government. But he just came in slammed down the same kinda crap the occasional person used to come spouting that derails the thread and makes it all about how much they hate, belittle, or despise America. I told him to start a thread to do that. He is welcome to.Was he disrespecting or insulting any other forum member directly with his post(s)?
Nah, just kinda funny. I summarized his words. Be different if, ya know, he would have done something other than dug in his diaper and smeared it on the screen. But honestly... he might be a cool guy. we have a small amount of decorum in a few places. what he wrote belongs in the Flame section, really. He wants to flame America in there, fine. Not here.If so, then that's the only reason why his shit should've been removed/edited. Are you that much of a dog that instead of leaving your identity , or outright removing it, you feel you've gotta leave comments from your damn mouth as if he posted them, therby confusing others in here? that is just fascist.
That was not participating. That was a diatribe of Anti-American sentiments that skewed every policy view by one specific side, WITH NO RESEARCH OR VALUE. It was a "i'm too lazy to think, but this is what I think." Hooray - we can all slam people. We can all bring about criticism. This is about issues, not some demonstration rally. Why does anybody have to be of a particular nationality to express they viewpoint/opinion on it? The guy's a newb. Cut the fucker some slack. At least he's tryin' to participate.
I edited his words by accident and felt no need to try and recreate them when they were nothing more than an uninformed criticism of the current administration and disparaging comments to slam and confuse the current political climate. I did this on way too little sleep in a room full of packing boxes. This guy has no idea of American Politics and his opinion really reflects that. and that is OK. He is not American, but like every other person in the world, he thinks he needs an opinion on our potential leaders and their policies. Those same people come into the thread post something about how weak America is, and feel self-important. I am sure if I went to a thread on Australian politics and started smearing shit, someone would either ban me, delete my comments, lock the thread, or edit them out. This happens on forums and has happened to me. and get real,..What?, you edited his shit because it does not conform to the style you post so eloquently or robotically in? I love this place. Please tell me I'm not sharing a forum with somebody who should've joined the Adolf's SS back in WWII?. I'm fucking disgusted with cowardice like that. It is people like that in the current Bush Admin (& other govts) that have made the world that much scarier to live in. Get A Fucking Life.
You know what is funny, I never have yet voted for a candidate of the Republican Partyblixa wrote: Oh and I forgot to add I vote republican
