I doubt he'd go back to Japan. He's doing so good here and making tons more money

I heard the same rumor. But, I am not sold on him going back to Japan.

What happens if Detroit and Minnestoa end up tied? Do they have to play a game to see who gets to go to NY in the first round, or is there some sort of tiebreaker based on regular season stats/record?

Did I mention that Jacque Jones sucks?

Thank you.

If Detroit and Minnesota end up tied I'm pretty sure the winner of this season's series ends up on top. I'm not sure who beat up on who but if the Twins have more wins against the Tigers then the Twins take the AL Central. I think it's better for Detroit to face the A's early and let the Twins battle the Yanks in a short series.

If they end up tied at the end of the season, then they a one game play-in game. The winner of that wins the Central while the loser goes in as the Wild Card

Wait a minute, didn't the Yankees and Red Sox end up with the same record last year? The Red Sox went in as the Wild Card because the Yanks had a better head to head record. Did they change things around this year?

Nope. Yankees beat them out by 1 game on the last game of the season

Unless something changed since last year the team with the best head to head record wins the division with some exceptions but I don't think those will apply to the AL this year. It was done differently before the wild card was introduced but I haven't heard anything about new rules.
