Granted game 5 has been at home for them in the past...but they've closed out a 2-2 series in 6 games quite a few times recently...I'm hoping they do it again.

My prediction is looking right so far. I said if Boston will win, it will be in 6 games. If LA will win, it will be in 7 games. The LA part is right so far lol.

I cannot wait to see what happens in game 6.

The lakers played the last 2 as a team of all stars as opposed to an all-star team. I doubt they will let a 3rd in a row go by that way. These teams are too good to let either one take 3 in a row. Lakers will take next to tie it up but I am still looking for Boston to finish it out on top.

I do not like the Celtics but yes I agree with you that they are likely to finish it out on top. You see, like I said before, the Celtics thrive on defense and that is why their game is so quality regardless of the building they play in. Again, I do not like them, but I will be happy for KG, PP, and Ray if they win that 2nd ring. They are all future hall of famers who have had great careers so far -- they deserve to win more than 1 ring.

And it is headed to an anything-can-happen-and-it-is-anybody's game 7. Now it is a coin toss really, it could go either way.

I do pick the Boston Celtics to win this.

It's not a coin toss. Lakers have home court, and that matters less for the players but more for the refs. As professional as they may be, they're not above getting rattled/effected by the home crowd. Also, based just on the way it looked and the fact that game 7 is only two days later, it doesn't seem like Perkins is gonna be playing. Bynum just needs one more game from that badly injured knee, and let's be real...PP has had one really good game, the rest of the time, Artest has held him relatively in check.

KG has hit a few jumpers here and there to pad his point line, but otherwise he's really been abused by Gasol aside from a game.

The key is clearly Ray Allen and the benches. At home, the Lakers bench plays so much better than they do on the road, and Allen is due for a big game. Either way, Rondo has pretty much disappeared, or at least long gone is the "best pg in the NBA" talk and his constant triple doubles. I just don't see the Lakers giving this game away, or the Celtics taking it.

in my opinion, they had a fluke huge game from Ray Allen in game 2, and a fluke bench murdering (or at least something that won't happen in LA) in game 4. Game 5 they outplayed the Lakers from whistle to whistle, but I think everything that has been seen in this series should point to the Lakers winning.

Sure its a nice thought to just assume its 50/50, and let's hope for a nice close gritty game that makes ESPN classic, but I just don't think it'll happen like that (and a lot of this, keep in mind, is a result of me convincing myself lol...but really, I think most of that was objective ;) )

I am glad you had this at the end.

I will have my analysis after game 7 lol.
