I believe that the Creationist viewpoint and true science go together. Science points to Creation. I know you probably want to deny that but it's true. Scientists are finding out more and more and know that we were not an accident. So I don't believe that we were a "miraculous accident" but I do believe that science and Creation go hand in hand

There is no problem with it. Society wants you to believe that Creation is totally opposite of science, but that just isn't true. Science is proving more and more that there was a definate beginning to the world and that evolution isnt' true.

No man...
To me this is like saying that getting head is a completely foolproof alternative to unprotected sex...Makes sense in some regards, but doesn't quite hit the home run...
If you believe in creation, then you believe that God created/shaped/inhabited the earth...
Now, how can that be so, and you believe that the earth is a unique galactic occurence...?

um, you do understand Science is just "us bullshitting as we try to fit everythign we find out into a picture" that will GET BIGGER WITH EVERYTHING WE KNOw.
We simply do not know enough about this to answer these question with facts. The science of Genetics is less than a century old, and look at these idiots strutting cause they map a genome or two... If anything, our momentum of discovery indicates we are centuries away from a coherent explanation of our physical existence, as we barely begin to understand the mechanics of it now.
The truth will be to the common theories as a prophet is to a bunny with a pancake on its head.

I'm not saying that all science is right or that everything can be explained. I am saying that the more we learn about science and the all the new discoveries, it shows that this world was not created by evolution. It shows that there was an Intelligent Designer behind the formation of the universe. There are too many complex things to be explained by evolution.
God created the Earth and the universe and becuase of that, He made Earth unique and like no other planet. Science backs that up

See, funny thing is the Bible doesn't say got created the Earth.
It says
Berashith Bara Elohim eth Ha-Shamayim v-eth H-Aretz.
Aretz is not a proper noun for Earth, as a planet. it is the Hebrew word for "ground, or land."
In fact, it is often biblically used in reference to Israel in opposition to Canaan.
The name of the planet is Malkuth. It means "THE Kingdom."
(as opposed to mamlakah, which is the general word for a "kingdom")
It never says Elohim created Malkuth...
funny they don't teach that on the 700 club, huh?
must be a conspiracy between Science and Society...

So what are you saying it says?

though this may be slightly off the original thread title, i have a feeling it fits in a bit with the more recent discussion, and i would just like to say that i think that people don't need to see science and god/higher power as two things that cannot be believed simultaneously. I personally think they are separate thinks altogether, with science being a quest to understand HOW things function, while God/higher power is more a quest for WHY they do.
i.e. (please don't flame the new guy too bad)...one can believe in creation and science together...with science explaining how it physically happened, and creation by a higher power being the reason for it. --(of course science would be throwing out the time frame)
as for the original thread title...and my opinion is not based on any type of scientific fact whatsoever....i just think there are so many planets out there, an indefinite amount, atleast one someplace must be able to sustain some form of life.
it just seems plausable to me.
/:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" /> ayhja....you sure the big bang spawned the higher power...i always figured it was the other way around /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />
