That's what galls me. It'll stink of a dung pile but go on to make Daredevil & XMen 3 money.darklighter1 wrote:But you know most people aren't die hard Thor fans like Supes and Bats and Spidey have so alot of this shit won't even phase them unfortunately. So Marvel and Feige will get all kinds of praise
Infuckingdeed!I mean he's A GOD! That's the whole point of his being and to make him an advanced alien like being is so queer it goes completely against everything having to do with the character.
Same here.I'm expecting Cap to be as bad or worse now too.
It's odd isn't it, They be having the ubermagical Infinity Gauntlet, but the can't have straight up Norse gods in there.

HA! I know! I guess each Infinity Gem will be built with a little microchip inside to explain it's power. A good plug for Marvel to make some extra bucks with an "Intel Inside" ad.Sir Jig-A-Lot wrote:It's odd isn't it, They be having the ubermagical Infinity Gauntlet, but the can't have straight up Norse gods in there.
I hope they never get around to Valhalla or Hel in the movies I'd hate how they explain those. It'll probably be like what's going on in that Antman/Wasp comic.....Digital Heaven.

Them old Infinity Gems, theys got the best quad-core processors. You should see the Cosmic Cube sponsored by Apple for the Cap movie. It has the Apple logo on one side. So does Cap's shield. Mjolnir proudly brought to you by Volvo.

LOL! You joke, but it's looking like it may go down like that. Did you see that Favreau dropped out of Iron Man III? Says it had nothing to do with an alleged disagreement with Feige. Which means it had EVERYTHING to do with a disagreement with Feige.

Re: Thor
Totally agreed. I think Iron Man's success was all on Favs. They've lost an important component by alienating him. I'm now just waiting for Joss Whedon to drop out of Avengers at the 11th hour & say it had nothing to do with Fiege. Then Fiege's failure will be complete.darklighter1 wrote:Did you see that Favreau dropped out of Iron Man III? Says it had nothing to do with an alleged disagreement with Feige. Re: Thor
But I do have to say in nobody in particular's defense that I know Favreau had a real problem bringing Ironman's tech world into Thor's mystic world. He didn't want to direct the Avengers movie cause he thought it takes away from Ironman's realism so I think the Thor being an alien thing was kinda a compromise of Marvel to Fav to get these characters together. Like somehow aliens are more believable than mythic beings I guess but it's something. :p

Re: Thor
Yeah I know in the early days just after Iron Man's debut Favs turned down directing Thor as he had a problem reconciling the 2 worlds of Stark & Thor (Which is weird cos he is the guy who made Zathura). He just said it was for someone else to worry about. I still think Marvel could have had a huge hit on their hands with Thor had they opted to leave the believability factor to the audiences & gone all Conan/LOTR on Thor like it should have been done. Ultimately, the creative failure (if not the financial one too) will rest on Fiege's ego. I'm getting the impression since Incredible Hulk onwards that he is not a People Person. Still would have loved to see Norton/Letterier's director's cut of Hulk & Favs' original vision of IM2.

Re: Thor
EXACTLY!! I never even thought of Thor like the LOTR stuff but that is the exact look and feel they should have gone with. It could have been EPIC! But instead it's all dumbed down once again to appeal to the masses. I'll be truthful with ya I didn't like LOTR cause I never read the books so I just had little interest in the movie and I heard it was almost spot on but that is why I respect it. Jackson went with the source material and even if it was a flop stuck to his vision. And it still made a ton of money! Not Marvel and Feige they have to change the entire core of the character. Sad.

Re: Thor
Well I still haven't actually seen the LOTR films as I have no interest, but I've seen the still photos and a trailer here or there & I always thought that was what a Thor movie would and should look like from a visual standpoint (at least for the Asgardian realm scenes) if ever anybody made one. Ditto for Conan. Yup, EPIC is the appropriate look. Sad that it'll be more EMO & X-Men 3 than anything. :p
