He's doing really well and I'm liking the way the Saints are handling the 2 premier backs. Putting McAllister in for runs and Bush in for passes is really smart. And since Reggie can also run it, the defense can get confused about what's going on. Seems to work well

I'm not going to dig through the thread to find anything...but as I recall...I said he's a great talent with unreal speed and agility...but I didn't think he was all that polished as a running back..

So to come in and tell me he's leading the league in receptions...and doing a great job on special teams and out of the slot doesn't refute the fact that he's not even the best running back on his team.

I've changed my view a little bit...I do think he'll make a great impact on the game whenever he's in it..and Ive thought that for a while now...but his forte is being able to use his agility and speed in the open field or on the outside....and 100% of the time running back need to be able to do that as well as take it between the tackles...

So while I was wrong about him not being as good as people thought....I don't feel as though I was too far off on his ability as an everydown back...

QUOTE(Kramer @ Oct 13 2006, 06:06 AM) He's leading with only 34 receptions?

Think about it tho...

Think about all the great WR's playing the game right now...And the fact that a RB is leading the way in receptions...

Man, they said when they drafted him that Duece was the every down back...Not a knock on either one of them, but DM is talented...If you can have them both on the field at the same time, with RB scaring the shit outta defenses...Maaaaan...That shit is crazy...W Duece getting a C note on the ground, and Bush in the game...How do you check that..? They have a proven starter at QB now...They are legitimate, and RB is only a rookie...He hasn't even gotten his NFL body yet...Shit...He's a focused competitor...Dude is going to be a monster...

And tho it has nothing to do with the conversation at hand, he's already a pillar in the N.O. community, doing MAJOR shit to help renovate teh city...he's a dude you can cheer for even if he never amounts to shit in the NFL...

Actually, I meant how is he leading with only 34 receptions? That seems really low. Granted, only 5 weeks have been completed, but still. If he's leading the league, you'd think he'd be getting more than 6.8 receptions a game.

I just found out that T.O. only had 5 receptions today, and Steve Smith had only 7. I thought guys got more receptions than that...
