There are 74 different non-Hamiltonian polyhedra with a minimum number of vertices. Also 74 is the atomic number Tungsten. Really 74 is not a very exciting number.

U.S. Route 77 is a north-south United States highway. It is unsigned in and around Dallas, Texas. Its historic segment through South Dakota was decommissioned with the advent of Interstate 29 but otherwise the route has been spared the decommissioning that has shortened other US highways. The route has major freeway sections in Oklahoma City including the Broadway Extension connecting suburban Edmond to downtown Oklahoma City.

78 is a triangular number, and its factorization makes it a sphenic number. As a multiple of perfect number, 78 is itself a semiperfect number.

79 is a way cool number. It is the atomic number of gold. It is a permutable prime with 97.
79 was also the number of episodes of the original Star Trek, the one true television series. William Shatner is a god!! (I will leave as an exercise to the reader to figure out which god he is.)

The sum of Euler's totient function φ(x) over the first sixteen integers is 80.
Adding up some subsets of its divisors (e.g., 1, 4, 5, 10, 20 and 40) gives 80, hence 80 is a semiperfect number.
80 is a Harshad number number in base 10.
