I use SMF on my forum, and for a while now Ja has been pushing other software on me. lol He hates SMF. SMF is really the only software that I know because it's the software that I've been using for the last 10 months. I'm not the most technical person. My fellow admin, Dustin, does most of the technical shit. He's going to school for all this shit, so he installs all the hacks, writes the codes etc.
I'm curious, is there really a better software out there that's free or that's charging a reasonable price? lol I mean, for me to change software, it would have to be 110% better than SMF.

What exactly is SMF? Just an online forum technology like phpBB & UBB?

Yup, used to use SMF on aquabeta a while back - and yes, I know Oasis uses SMF.. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
Um, I personally prefer Invision, but I ain't willing to pay for a license, however, I do have a cracked version (seriously, how are they supposed to find out, huh)
Oh, and Pete, yes, SMF is just forum software.. lol

Its not that I hate SMF, its just that I enjoy wanting to be able to be involved fully in the community...phpBB is free, but requires the most work...But IPB in all honest is > than phpBB in many ways...We can set you up with some test software man, to see if you guys like it....

One thing I don't like about IPB is the profile:
To me that just looks messy. I like things organized. The SMF has pretty much the same information, and it's better organized.

Is it possible for you to create some bullshit board for me to screw around on? I ask because I want to make 100% sure that it is better than SMF, and that I'll like it. I mean, we've invested a lot into SMF.
Right now Dustin is working on a javascript that's going to take him about an hour to write. It'll allow me to post a few preview pics, and when people click on the preview pics, the rest of the set will load under the preview pics.
