They have just taken the steroid scandal too far:

There is no way he used steroids. Just look at the stats

I don't know much about baseball, but those numbers don't look too extraordinary... I was just looking at my fantasy team, and Rickie Weeks has better numbers...

HR: 6 (+1)
RBI: 20 (-8)
R: 53 (+12)
OBP: .383 (+.03)
AVG: .300 (+.038)

I guess he's on steroids, too? lol

Wait a second.

So first off....you think that you have the right to say who has and who hasn't used steriods?

Them saying he uses steriods is backed up with just as little factual information as you saying he doesn't.

The only one who knows for sure is the man himself.

and yeah, you can say he didn't because he isn't hitting very well this year, but he's 38!

Barry Bonds has 9 HR this year.. I bet that assures you that he never took them either right?

Sosa and Mark both would have pretty bad numbers if they were still in the limelight.....they haven't taken any either right?

As long as you start hitting poorly by the end of your career....you're cleared by TT of any steriod allegations!

You're seriously saying is baseball is taking the steriod search too far becasue they accused a player who isn't on pace to hit 70 THIS YEAR?

Wtf are you talking about?

Did you even read the article where he had a homerun spike of 16 in 2001 from his previous high...and then hasnt reached within 19 of that number since?

If anything, I think this proves how little steroids actually impact a players performance...

It's not just this year. He has never been an outstanding player. He may have had one good year in 2001 but does that mean that he took steroids? No. Look at Bill Muellar. He hit around .380 2 years ago. Hasn't come close to hitting that again. No one is questioning if he took steriods

QUOTEBarry Bonds has 9 HR this year.. I bet that assures you that he never took them either right?

Bonds has also been plagued with "injury" this year. It has nothing to do with his numbers.

LG, I have followed baseball for my entire life. I live for baseball and I know the players. I know Luis Gonzalez and I also know that there is no way he took steroids. He hit a couple more homeruns that year. Could a boost in homeruns be that it was his contract year? Most players break out in the last year of a contract. Could it be that he finally had some players around him? His batting average only rose 14 points from 2000. That wasn't even close to his average in 1999. He also batted in a different spot in the lineup. All of these reasons affect how a person bats and plays. His homerun jump isn't that big of a deal.

I know my baseball LG, this guy did not take steroids
