The U.S. committed itself to the principle that no material gains or domestic ease is worth the price of the cruelty defined as human slavery.

reflect on that for a minute, and for it is this day that in the eyes of law, the black American was recognized as having a common soul with all other humans. and that was just the beginning of the struggle.

No, sadly enough I don't think everyone will be equal. We are all human and greedy as hell. Everyone wants to be the best and doesn't care if they put others down in the process. There won't be a day where everyone is equal I hate to say

Nope...

I don't think we'll ever have a socciety where people think favorably of another race as an equal...Racism and prejudice will always be present...Even more interesting...Is that I think I've lived with bias for so long...I'm not sure I'd even want things to change...

Yeah...I agree with Ayhja.... I don't even really want to think of it any differently. That's not to say I'm racist....I'm actually the one in my family standing up for equality....but I never see it happening.

I think the problem is the differences... there are too many. There are so many religions, so many races, so many countries. There are two types of people: male and female.

I'd probably be a lot easier if we started breaking down barriers... erase state lines... shit like that. But that'll never happen.
