as per your personal request, I'll chip in.

I guess I largely agree with you here. 14 is too young. I wouldn't want my girl to give in at that age. hell no. and that (public opinion thinking it is too young) seems to be why they are raising the bar.

then again. a 14y old girl is an adult biologically - all her adult organs are developed and in some cultures, that is about the time they are married if I am not mistaking. But that didn't withhold me from saying "no" to this 15y old when she asked, when I was about 18 or 19.

did not give this too much thought in the past though. 14 is too young imho. I even think 16 is for a girl - but I guess most now wherever they live lost their virginity already by that age.
