Read this last week when I launched..
For the time being, I would seriously consider purchasing one of these Intels. The original article also mentions AMD's plans for rolling out the 8x8 platform by 2007:

Great stuff. Competition like this is fantastic. Intel has been behind for some time.

$850 for the cheapest one...a little beyond my price range ATM. I'll still with my dually Opteron 165 until it becomes "slow".
