Okay...since Trash did one for baseball....I gotta do one for the NBA.....
PG- Oscar Robinson
SG- MJ
SF- Larry Bird
PF- Karl Malone
C- Bill Russel
So......I think SG & SF are a lock.....everyone knows MJ and Bird have to be up there....... People'll probably say Magic for PG over OR.....but that's just my opinion...... maybe we'll get some TD's for PF.....and C is a debatable topic all on its own... but I'm interested to see what you guys all think.....

Now the baseball thread, I know my 'ish...But, I really know my 'ish with this...LoL..
PG - Magic Johnson - He's not even my favorite PG of all time, that woudl probably be Isiah, but there's no comparing Magic to anybody in terms of all time...
SG - Kobe Bryant - Offense...Defense...Scores at will...Shut down defender...What more could you want..? Why not MJ..? Kobe shoots the long ball...Well...With both hands....
SF - Charles Barkley - Man, I SO wanted to go with Domonique Wilkins, he's one of my top 3 favs of all time...But Chuck was a rebounding beast, build like a brick shit house, and had a 48" vertical...Please...
PF - Dennis Rodman - Who rebounds better..? Tough, go all out, excellent defender on any front court man...
C - Hakeem Olajuwon - Ain't no center fuckin' with the dream...Shaq said that himself...

The thread is suppose to be the Greatest of All Time. Opinions do go into that somewhat, but it's whoever you think is the best of all time
PG - Magic Johnson
SG - Michael Jordan
SF - Larry Bird
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Wilt Chamberlain

Wasn't CB listed as a PF?

PG: Magic Johnson
SG: Michael Jordan
SF: Larry Bird
PF: Karl Malone
C: Wilt Chamberlain
Barkley was a PF, not SF. Malone and Barkley are close, but it still goes to Mailman...Tim Duncan is not even close to those 2 yet. C is Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain or Lew Alcindor... Shaq is just big with no real skill. Magic, Bird, and Jordan have nobody really close at their respective position.
Greatest to never make it: By far Earl Manigault.

Or Len Bias....(that was his name right?)
I'm glad to see someone else agree with me on Karl......
I wouldn't be surprised if yall don't know Oscar...if you are going to say that no one is even close to Magic...
I picked Russel cause I wanted someone who'd be a team player and play great defense....
I love Mike...being from Chicago...but Kobe is my favorite player...so I'd have to have him play SG for me....
If we can change positions like Ayhja did...then I got Dirk at my 3.....and the rest stay...
So... my revised list...with opinions and stuff included..
PG- Oscar Robinson -...mainly cause I want to be different lol
SG- Kobe Bryant - my favorite player
SF - Dirk Nowitzki - Matchup problems all over.
PF - Karl Malone - Aint no one did it better at PF...
C -Hakeem Olajuwon - I forgot about him on my original list....he was the best...

LG.. your list is too time bias. Dirk can't even spell rebound, let alone defense. Kobe is the most selfish player in the NBA next to Iverson. I know who Oscar is, but he isn't as good of a PG as Magic was. The PG's role is to pass the ball and make plays happen. Oscar was good at that, but Magic was... well... Magic. MJ is MJ... Kobe is Kobe, but he is not to that level. Russel was good, but I'd take both Chamberlain and Alcindor over him any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
If you're going to make an arguement for Oscar at PG, then you have to bring in Stockton and Isiah Thomas in the discussion. Maybe even Pistol PeteMaravich.
