these are the pictures so if any one can do it ...it will be great. I zipped them up so if any of you could get it done that would be a great help man

IrfanView is good freeware, and will resize pics easy....

So it can make the pic bigger without distorting it right? from like 390 by 280 pixels to bigger...

Making pictures bigger w/o distortion is pretty hard to do, if it is possible at all...Bigger to smaller is no problem, the vice versa situation gets more sticky than that...

Here you go.
1) With the longest dimension 480 and proportions preserved:
2) All dimensions 480. Proportions out of whack:
The red mermaid looks crummy because the original image was tiny. Blurring and other filters don't really compensate for the blocky look when you blow it up like this. Anyways hope this helps you somewhat. I just used Photoshop but Irfanview gives exactly the same end result for free. Actually, I use Irfanview when I have to batch convert resize a whole heap of images b/c it is faster than Photoshop.

sidenote...
convert to vector-based will make that red chica hotter when you enlarge her.
then, if you need it in bmp, just convert back to raster graphic.
