The PSP is really sweet. A couple of my friends have it and I've played Madden on there. There is great graphics and it can also be used for internet. It sure is a sweet deal. I'd prolly get one if they lower the price.

The only bad thing I've heard is that there aren't all that many games for it yet. At least, not compared to the DS.

At $150 bucks, with all that I heard that it could do, it would be a great bargain I think...

I played both, and the DS is far better, more fun to play, and has games better suited for quick travel. Not to mention, you can also play all the really cheap Game Boy Advance games on it (retail used for about 10.00), though the touch screen is not used. i have mario, sims (my girl), urbz (my girl), trace memory, dig dug, and a couple others. mario is fan-tas-tik, and perfect for a twenty minute break, or so. PSP needs to learn arcade-game based time limits need to be an established for a good set of their games. they made something that is more than a gaming system, but not enough to replace all your hand held gear. if you could partition the MS Palm OS, and it could be a handless phone with blue tooth, you could get this, some attachments, some games and memory, and be good to go. as it is, t is just a cumbersome games system, and it takes too long to play a decent game. for that, you'd rather be on a large screen. or at least i would.
The PSP is not designed to be played in short interim areas, and their sales will suffer as these get banned from transit flights. Perfect for a hotel room, a plane ride, or a road trip passenger... probem is, the laptop is even more perfect.
If you don't have money for a tv, ps-2, and a DVD player, you can buy this.,.. other wise, its just not as fun as most laptop games, and not as exciting as most of the nostaligia on the DS. You can also use the DS as a extra controller for the WII when it comes out.
-------------
That being said, i just got a XBox360 and I am VERY IMPRESSED. Dead Rising is awesome, Oblivion is marvelous. DOA4 is enticing. i got the pro system, and three games for 250 dollars... don't ask.
the PS3 is not coming near my house until Sony sobers up.
There is enough xbox live content to make this an entertaining system, even without buying a game. Demos are good enough to make you want games. I *might* get the WII once the first batch kills a few kids and they work out the kinks. But the Xbox360 is definitely solid and on the market.

well, it will hopefully soon be a reality.
i am curious how they are going to work downloading games people make:
free dowload? (woot for all the people, except the people who bother to slave away to make a game)
paid download (Boo!!!)
game author creates a "xbox point" fee for download. (could work, but will GREATLY limit the number of people dl-ing... and thus limit the selction.) also, it would be better, if you could then use points for your xBox Live account subscription, because you are already fickin out 100 bucks for the right to learn to make games.
it would also be cool if they had a casino where you could gamble xBox points, or bet them on game matches.
gotta see how this pans out. but if there is nothing in it for the developers, most of the good ones might not give it their all.

That casino idea would be awesome. I wonder if you could create a game like that and have yourself be the house. Maybe rig it a little so the house keeps winning....

ok, it seems that microsoft has a decision what gets published, for content quality and ratings...
and you can make a profit on it, and m$ gets a cut.
but the thing is, that means you can claim expenses against earnings, and actually itemize video game deductions..
woot!!!
