US probes Israel cluster bomb use

The UN's Mine Action Coordination Centre says it has found 318 sites in south Lebanon where cluster bombs have been used.

"A lot of them are in civilian areas, on farmland and in people's homes, said spokeswoman Dalya Farran.

"We're finding a lot at the entrances to houses, on balconies and roofs," she said.

"Sometimes windows are broken and they get inside the houses."

Does Hezbollah use terrorism to kill women and children? Does Hezbollah use kidnapping as part of it's tactics'? Does Hezbollah launch rocket's at cities at random?

To answer your question, yes they did. I was watching live newscasts that said they were using clusterbombs and the Israeli's weren't trying to hide that fact. War is hell, and landmines are illegal also. Since Hezbollah has mined the entire southren region, are you going to cry foul about that? We all know the answer to that one.lol

Brains, give it up, both sides have used illegal tactic's.

easy bm. i am just pointing this out; we are just discussing.

did not know about the mines though. you got stories backing that up?

btw: that is where the diff between an "army" and a guerilla group lie no? I am sure that if hezbollah had F16's and laser guided missiles, they would have targeted other infrastructure as well: some bridges, some water purifying stations, some electricity centrals, some airports AND civilian housing. but all they have is shoot and forget missiles.

and another btw: Israel killed an awful lot of women and children and they use kidnapping as part of its tactics (even ministers!!!)... BUT they do NOT launch rockets at random. they launch guided rockets which strike with pin-point accuracy. even so, they target civilian infrastructure.

any suspect tactics hezbollah may use don't provide israel with the excuse to do the same. they're supposed to be a civilized democratic nation, not a collection of pissed off farmers. if they want the benefits of nationhood they also have to abide by the rules of the game, which they are currently ignoring. there are measures taken against countries who don't play well with others. just as there are more appropriate measures to take against groups of people who can't keep their rockets in their pants.

hallelujah lf.

exactly why I indeed do sound more against Israel than against hezbollah, hamas, jihad or al aqsa. i condemn both their tactics, but I just can not accept them from a democratic nation.

Hey Brains, where's your article about how Hezbollah included literally thousands of ball bearings in their rockets, and those ball bearings tore the shit out of cars, buildings, people... Oh, but wait, Hezbollah is a terrorist organization, so they can do whatever the fuck they want...

If Hezbollah hadn't started shit with Israel in the first place, they wouldn't have F-16's lighting their ass up with laser guided missiles. I love how you like to call Israel on their methods of self defense but never call out the terrorists when a bus blows up in the middle of rush hour.

don't most rational people think that the actions of terrorists are abhorant and wrong? it kind of goes without saying that every life they take is an "evil" deed. the same is not generally true of governments, no matter how much we may whine about them, who spend most of their time trying to maintain the social contract, not destroy it. there is also the question of scale to consider. should we mention each and every soldier killed in ww2 when discussing the deployment of nuclear weapons in that conflict, or should we just take it as read. it would be simpler and far quicker to do the latter. though i guess this is an easy way for some people to avoid discussing the actual issue at hand.

as every momma in the world has said at one point or another: two wrongs don't make a right. and israel are clearly wrong in their actions.

So we should just sit back and let the terrorists blow everybody up? What would you do differently?, it's not like the Israeli's didn't drop leaflets warning the civilains to leave the area before bombings began. When was the last time these terrorists warned passengers that the bus they were riding on was going to blow up? You armchair quarterbacks with 20/20 hindsight are all the same.lol
