I was sick of seeing all sleek anc cute black/blue boxes for computers. Everyone wants to add LEDs everywhere and not even LEDs are a novelty any more.
I just wanted to give away a feeling of decay for my own puter.... And here are the results...
(forgive the amaturness in picture taking :oops:)

It's got a cool Matrix kind of look to it. What is sad... you can probably STILL upgrade yours more than I can do mine.

Mr. SM:
I am SO NOT worthy of metku mods.... I have seen mods there (case mods) that are like MASTERPIECES, WORKS OF SERIOUS ART, I don't know what else! I have dropped my jaws repeatedly in that site, ANDthe whiskeybottle was nothing less !!!! AMAZING thing, ass(SHAKIRA!)usual!!!!

What's wrong with yours ? /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
Come on, since the pictures were taken, I've busted and replaced the PSU (and had to redo the new PSU box) and also the motherboard, AND I've added a serious cooler for the VGA, so it does look KINDA differenton the insidenow... Let me tell you, it wasn't easy. There was no alternative either /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

It is an E-Machine T6420. Here is what I see:
Video Output
* Graphics processor
* NVIDIA GeForce 6100
* Video output form factor
* Integrated
Audio Output
* Audio Output / Sound Card Name
* Integrated Audio
* Audio output form factor
* Integrated
* Audio output type
* Sound card
Mainboard
* Chipset type
* NVIDIA nForce 410
* Data bus speed
* 800 MHz
I was thinking of upgrading the video and sounds card to maximize the game play of the games I play. But, I was told to just build a new custom system. Not sure exactly why I can't just upgrade my existing system for $300-$400, but I am took the advise and am just standing pat for now.

holy shit this is really cool!!! 8) 8) 8)
I love those meters and toggle switches :acdc:
that fan hole makes it look like a ship's porthole, or those archaic metal globe-like diving suits- great effect.
Cheers for sharing that BlindG :tur:

:oops: Thanks a lot for your compliments, Pete!
I really wanted to give this thing a decayed look and I had no chance but to paint everything possible.
To contribute to the "old" look, I wanted a panel with VU meters and not digita and this little thing did the job excellent! I didn't want to ruin the meters because a) they were irreplacable (can't find separate meters exactly like those) /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> this panel is almost out of production (people don't appreciate a nice VU meter these days /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> )so if I ruined them, I'd lose the panel and I didn't want that...

I'm interested into what process was required to get the box in the appropriate state of crustiness...
Did you chuck it in the sea for a few years, maybe out in the backyard or is that paint (sorry if it is paint, hard to tell) /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
