Hostages situation reported at Ill. bank

DOLTON, Ill. - Multiple people were taken hostage Wednesday inside a bank in the Chicago suburb of Dolton, officials said.
The situation began as an attempted robbery inside the Heritage Community Bank, said Dolton village spokesman Sean Howard.
Investigators have communicated with people inside the bank, but Howard declined to give any specifics. Authorities blocked off several streets around the bank as police from at least three towns worked to resolve the situation.
There was no word on the number of hostages or any other details.

On a sidenote, if in fact hostage taking is a form of terrorism, and an act of terroism can be used to acquire funds,.. could then a bank robbery hostage situation be considered an Act of terror? I say yes. You are threatening and resticting lives for private gain and personal motives in dealings with authorities.
