Should be some interesting Friday the 13th discussion...What movies or scenes from movies have you seen that you felt were disturbing..?
I can't recall feeling disturbed too often, I usually leave movies mystified...Like...Wow, that was interesting as fuck, what would I do in that situation..?
I remember...I went to see 'The Ring', part 1...I dug it completely...Hated part 2...Wrong Turn was another good one...The first Saw...Wolf Creek...Emily Rose...Damien The Omen...The Others...Children of the Corn...Candyman...
By any account, The Passion of the Christ was plenty fucking disturbing, one of those films I have watched once, and never EVER care to see again...
But...Beyond all things, if I had to pick something disturbing..? The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre...First off, its supposedly based on a true story...By the end of that fucking movie man, the one chick that finally got away...You knew right then she was headed for the fucking psycho ward...Seeing her in the back of that truck, laughing and crying at the same time...Wondering how close it was to the real ordeal...
Wow...

i wouldnt say its the most disturbing i've seen but defintely texas chain saw massacre cos it was based on a real story and wolf creek cos there's more chance of that shit happenin out here in OZ/real life than those other movies.....
i remember the 1st one i watched was nightmare on elm st wen i was 8. after the 1st killin didnt watch the rest of the movie n was running around the house to turn on the light switch in every room for weeks........
that movie put me off the whole horror genre til i was like 16 before i could really tell myself that shit aint gonna happen n there isnt some ugly mo'fo waiting in the dark to cut me open.....

I know what you mean...I don't consider myself extremely superstitious or a scary ass cat, but I probably still wouldn't turn the light off and say Candyman 3 times in the mirror...
When I was a kid, there was a urban legend about a woman named 'Bloody Mary' or some shit like that...You had to turn the light on and off like 10 times, and say, "Blooooody Mary 1...Blooooody Mary 2..." and so forth...
Wasn't a kid on the block that would do that shit...

Most disturbing would have to be Passion of the Christ. Chain Saw Massacre is a close second but I really didn't think it was too disturbing

ichi the killer was ALMOST hard to watch. the manga is worse man. fuckin nipple cutting and raping and shit, its the most disturbing manga i have ever read. the movie isnt as bad. i would say the exorcist because i first saw that movie in elementary school and when you're that young and you watch a chick get fucked up by a demon, you'll get fucked up too. i tried to watch it again a few years ago but it brought back scary memories. i would use to think that my blanket would protect me from demons if i covered my face.

Texas Chainsaw - Truth or Fiction?

Legend of Bloody Mary
The truth is out there.....
...as for me - The Exorcist creeped me out and I've been hooked on Halloween ever since.
I'm the first to admit that I am just an amature yard decorater when it comes to all hallows eve compared to the real die-hards, but I do better than most in my neighbor hood. I'll have to take some pics of our bone-yard and post them....

I'd have to say Hostel. It's the only movie I've ever turned off halfway through.
I'm not really a fan of the horror/thriller/slasher flicks... I think they're all shit. I actually fell asleep through the first Halloween. lol
However, I always have to catch at least one horror flick in October since it's the month of Halloween. The Space channel over here has been playing horror movies every night, but unfortunately they don't start until 2 AM, and since I've got classes, I can never watch them. lol I'm gonna try to catch one tonight.
Last year I watched Jeepers Creepers... terrible fucking movie... lol
