So this is my problem. I installed FIFA07 onto my computer and I did a full install. The first time I played it was fine but then something started going wrong.
When I opened it everything seemed normal untill I started playing. As I pressed the keys it took some time for them to actually work on the screen. If I pressed escape it took a long time before the menu screen came up. And I know my computer should be able to handle games because I played Rise of Legends on this and it worked fine.
So can anyone point me to the right direction so I can have this thing fixed?

You Sir, have a background application that is probably digging into yoru resources when you're trying to play games...Get it booted, minimize it, and see what's competing for processor time...You could maybe try to change the CPU priority, but that could be a bit of a risk...
My $ is on another program or process that's behaving badly....

when all else fails, try reinstalling.
and its always best to uninstall first, before reinstalling. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I just tried the game again. This time I turned off all the other programs and it worked just fine. I had around 43 processes going on at that time. There is only two process that has its priority set to high. One is windows nt log on appication the other is microsoft tablet pc ink input.
Something that is mind boggling is that I have 8 proccessors named svchost.exe running at the same time all in the system 32 folder.
Is that something wrong?

No, those are normal...
If you're not a 'power' user, there is a list of all the services that you can stop on Windows XP Professional that should speed up your system a bit...
Here are a few resources on services education...
